I'm thrilled to see Roma vs Torino over the air as opposed to streaming in Matchday 1. But I have to wonder, what the hell the "Family of Networks" has across their airwaves on Saturday to not show Juve/Ronaldo. I'd like to think there is something in line with the top teams in Italy to guarantee X games over the air based on previous seasons finish, but it's probably just a ploy for more people to pay $5 a month to see Ronaldo.
I would honestly be happy if the best game of the week was the one they choose to show live on air. I know that it means that as fans we’d be streaming most weeks but a match between Serie A 4 and 5 place teams will probably do more for,the league than Juve vs. Empoli. Competitive games between inform sides and the derby matches would make for the best viewing.

Just watched the 48 minute Serie A preview show on ESPN +. If they put as much effort into the season as they did this preview video we should be in for a good season.
ESPN + is cheaper, and it has the ability to replay games. It also has the Australian A League, Chinese Super League Eredivisie, National League, MLS, USL. Not that you’ll watch the latter 3 lol.
Probably the only one I'd watch is Eredivisie. It's my natural dislike for all things Disney that's holding me back.
At the end they said, "Next time on Inside Serie A...(or whatever the title was)" so I am hopeful for more. And I'm almost certain I heard Richard Whittle's voice at one point translating one of the coaches comments, which also made me very happy.
If anyone has any contacts with ESPN can you tell them you know a guy named Vulp who wants to help commentate? Thxx <3
Yes Whittle and his partner Marco something were both translating in the video. They are the official voices of Serie A in America.
Whittle was the commentator last time Serie A was on espn3. Going from him to hudson/other beIN trash was a travesty.
UEFA will be splitting up the champions league games this year. There will be 2 games at 1900 CET and the rest will be shown at 2100 CET during each matchday.

I watched the ESPN serie a preview last night and was very impressed, hoping the coverage is always this good
Bonetti is making the jump to ESPN. He will be calling the Roma game on Sunday with Mark Donaldson. ESPN’s Serie A TV debut will feature 2 familiar commentators on Sunday https://t.co/KzTKsHMjfv— World Soccer Talk (@worldsoccertalk) August 16, 2018
