Have you been to other Central American qualifiers? Panama is pretty tame compared to Guate and Costa Rica. My friend was shitting his pants but even after we eliminated them from the cup for no good reason, San Zusi lol, I saw worse in Guatemala after Guate tied us lol. Stadium is in the middle of nowhere and kind of boring area to be honest. Couldn't find a cab after the game so ended up walking like four miles back to our hotel.
There will be public buses heading back into town on the main road outside the stadium. That's what I took in 2005. Crowded, but no grief. Back then, they were Diablo Rojos. Apparently, the government has eliminated those and replaced them with more formal public transit that require a Metro Card swipe for payment. The rechargeable cards cost $2 and are available all around town, most notably at Metro stations, but not at the airport. The bus ride is $.25.
I've been to Azteca in 2009 for the qualifier. Been wanting to get out to CR and Panama for a long time. Going to be my first doubleheader, San Jose, CA and Panama.
Yeah Panama will be pretty tame by Mexico standards. And since we can't eliminate them this time lol....
