4-4-2 or 4-3-3? Pulisic in front of Jones-Bradley, Johnson and Wood on the wing?

Johnson and Chandler on the wing. Doubt it'll be that way, but we can only wait and see.

Unfortunately we might be the ones who need to win....we only have 9 scholarship players available tonight (one is a true frosh the other a guy who is banged up and will probably play less than 20 minutes) and more than likely against Gonzaga Monday. Going to be a long wait to see who is healthy.

That line up is a bit of a head scratcher. Going to take the boys a bit to figure things out?

    -----Wood-altidore------
    Pulisic-Johnson-Chandler
    -----Bradley-Jones-------
    --Besler-Brooks-gonzo--

I thought Chandler had been playing somelike this with club.

Playing Johnson centrally seems like it would be dumb as hell.

Chandler plays wingback in a 3-5-2 for his club. So the back 3 would be Gonzalez, Brooks and Besler.

I don't think Wood and Jozy are a good partnership up top (maybe they need better chemistry) I would have sat one of them and put Kljestan as CAM but I really like FJ in midfield that might be a killer move can't wait to see the Mexico lineup, hoping for the best team to win

Chandler has been playing as a wing back, and Johnson, obviously, as a winger.

    I like it as a 352, nkt so much as a 442.

Maybe swapping Johnson with Pulisic in your line-up.

Not sure it is that bad, but didn't want to put CP there. It'll probably be 4 in the back but not clear.

With space for Johnson and Pulisic to cut into. Mexico is playing a very attacking lineup. They're relying on Guardado defensively ffs. If we get through the first 20 minutes I like us on the break.

And Kljestan and Yedlin can come in later.

4-4-2/4-2-2-2 with CP and FJ the attacking 2. Of course, that isn't a possession based approach. Will be interesting to see.

Maybe 433 with gonzo as a target forward. I like that better than him in the back.

Could also be 4-5-1 of sorts with Altidore being the lone forward and Wood playing on the wing.

In truth the lineup gives JK flexibility to morph formations depending on how things are going. These same players can do either a 3-5-2 or a 4-4-2.

So we are playing with 3 in the back to make Chandler feel loved?

I don't remember the number but during the Cuba broadcast the announcers mentioned that the number of goals scored when they are together is a fair amount.

Wow. At least we have a few players that play 3 in back with their clubs. I would have probably gone with Orozco at RCB with 3 in back. Not really liking this.
