I have 4 tickets availible for US Mex match. Medical emergency means I can't make it. Section 215 row 5 seats 4-7.
I live a 10 minutes away from the Stadium and would like to be with SA. If anyone has a ticket I will pay you ASAFP. I will be attending by myself and would like to be with fellow club mates. FYI - the lines get insane for Cardinals games so it would be in your best interest to get there as early as possible.
The $28 lower level tickets were sold out last Friday. They have now opened the upper deck. If I had to guess, the ticket sales are approaching 30,000.
40,000 is not bad considering this is a very sports saturated market. As I wrote on another thread, the Suns are playing very well, the NHL Coyotes are turning the corner (slightly), the FBR Phoenix Open is going on this weekend with over 100,000 per day in attendance, and we just hosted the Fiesta Bowl and the BCS Title game. That is a lot of competition for the local sports dollar! There are a lot of people in the youth soccer community in this area that are going, but to be over 40,000 already leads me to believe it will be a very Pro-Mexico crowd as usual. I would also imagine a huge walk-up for tickets on Wednesday as well. Thus, it could be very close to a sellout. We'll see...
Does anyone know yet if the roof will be open? I thought it was wierd that it was closed for the Fiesta Bowl and then I heard on ESPN radio before the NC game that it will be closed "so that the temperature will be similar to what it was when the game started," lol. Then the radio announcer pointed out that "they are using the roof to similulate out door conditions."
There are tickets for section 115 I am going to grab on Monday if I have to. I would like to be with Sams Army as well, but I just heard about this game on Friday.
I know, I can't wait either! I've only been to one other US game and that was against Poland in Chicago, I think summer of '03, but that's going to be nothing compared to this match! I go to school in Flagstaff, and I have a test the morning of the match and then I'm taking the bus down to Glendale...I have no idea how I'm going to get through either with all my excitment!
Odd request. I'm flying in from CHicago for the game. WIth the weather in CHicago well below freezeing I will start the day off bundled-up better than an eskimo. I plan on taking a cab to the stadium from the Airport and get a lift from family after the match. This means that I will have a heavy coat with me when I get to the stadium. Would anyone be willing to store a coat for the game in thier car?
I was wondering how the english speaking Arizona media are treating this event. Like a major sporting event or like some off beat event that they don't understand? Perry Stein
Unfortunately, the latter... There is too much going on here. Most of the local media were in Miami for the Super Bowl to report on it since we are hosting it here next year. The others were covering the FBR Phoenix Open this past weekend. The media here are not soccer savy to say the VERY least. It really sucks!
Sounds like they have lots of beer at the Yard House...... I just don't want to have to piss too much during the game.
