I'm happier with the way we're playing -- if the stats on the ussoccer.com MatchTracker are any indicator -- but I'd love to see a second goal. That'll seal the deal.

    Bring Natasha Kai on, ASAP...

    Duh!

73': Mitts cracks a nice shot on frame from 26.

    73' Heath on for Tarpley.

Im not 100% happy but 4-0 games just are not going to happen in the olympics. Look at the germany game right now.

Yes, indeed. Let her run at tired defenders, by all means.

    No mercy.

Which is how I feel about one of our Olympic broadcasters here... no coverage on SBS.

There was the discussion about the lack of logo on the jersey. Nice to see the two stars on the back collar.

That was a FANTASTIC move by Heath to put herself in. I didn't know she had it in her!

79': Wasn't that hand from the Japanese defender, not O'Reilly?

Was a case of the ball playing the hand instead of the hand playing the ball.

    Damn, A-Rod! So close again!

Usually the other way around. ;)

I'd love to see A-Rod play in Boston after she graduates.

    81': Japan's 3rd sub. Nice do.

Heath is the kind of kid that playes ALL the time. She's also got trick skillz.

Had to go find the video of her and Nogueira during the U-20 Women's World Cup in Russia.

Save the link for later after the game is over:

I was going to comment earlier about Stephanie, but I got distracted. There was a play in her corner defending 2v1 with Heath. Cox was gassed and lazy and didn't cover. I hate that we have to use a sub for her, but it's the right call. I think she would have been a liability down the stretch.

JP quote: "Cox seems to be a little fatigued" (when sub Buehler entered)

Umm, that's how she has been jogging -- I mean running all game. You think he could have mentioned the turnovers as a problem?

    Not much movement.

    Kai for A-Rod.
