Ok, since I'm up (never really went to bed..) I'll start the PBP. Lineups: (from ussoccer) USA: 18-Hope Solo; 2-Heather Mitts, 15-Kate Markgraf, 3-Christie Rampone - Capt., 14-Stephanie Cox, 15; 9-Heather O'Reilly, 7-Shannon Boxx, 11-Carli Lloyd, 5-Lindsay Tarpley; 16-Angela Hucles, 8-Amy Rodriguez. Only changes: Rodriguez for Kai and Cox for Chalupny. JPN: 1-Miho Fukumoto; 2-Yukari Kinga, 3-Hiromi Ikeda, 4-Azusa Iwashimizu, 7-Kozue Ando; 5-Miyuki Yanagita, 8-Aya Miyama, 10-Homare Sawa, 15-Mizuho Sakaguchi; 17-Yuki Nagasato, 11-Shinobu Ohno.
Regarding Chalupny: Due to her concussion history and after neurologic testing and evaluation, it was decided that she will not participate in this match, but will be revaluated for Tuesday’s match against New Zealand in Shenyang. Hopefully this is only a cautionary measure, because it would be too much (like we haven't already) loosing Lory from the Olympics
I think she is giving the players a chance.. but make no mistake, I can bet you that she has a lineup for subs if someone doesn't "behave" within the first 30 minutes
good cross to O'Reilly. Hucles can't get to the cross. Gutsy clear by Japan; could've easily been OG.
*yawn* Good mornin' all! Consider me in this thread. I still can't believe I'm up at 4AM to watch this match.
I'm right there with you on that one. My cat's giving me an evil look of "I thought we came to an understanding about this last September..."
That was actually a better save than I think she was given credit for. One step closer to the shot and that ball probably dips in.
