5-0 to the US. I haven't seen a detailed report but sounds like there was 4 quarters and the goals were scored by Donavon (2) Beasely, Johnson, and O'brien. there is supposed ot be video up shortly on the ussoccer site. As long as no one got hurt it was a good experience for the boys and a match like this can only improve the team. On to Puerto Rico on Sat.!!! mikey
I'll try and find out some more details...glad to see Obrien scoring for the US, hope he stays healthy!
Here ya go.... http://www.ussoccer.com/sights/index.jsp_videoGallery-128-1.html# I bet that's the first time Keith has smiled through five goals against. Good piece... every goal was pretty darn nice, however keep in mind a few of those would of never seen the net if they were playing all out.
Very strange to see McBride, Cherundolo, etc. shaking hands with Keith, Luke after a game. Some good goals - agreed that the defending was very much "please don't touch anyone", but the set piece goals were very impressive.
here is an article form Fridays Post And Couriers The Battery fall to US-Or did they? still haven't heard any first hand reports Mikey
I posted this over on the US board but thought I'd post it here. Just did a quick look at the photo gallery to see who on the Battery was playing, I could only pull 8 Battey numbers off the gallery and here they are: #3 Brunt #13 Ugo #23 Vercolone #24 Hughies #17 Romereo #19 McNight #16 Armstrong #20 Catalano also recognized Troy Lesense Brunt is the only one who has a regular starting position with the Battery (Wiggins the goalie, has been playing for our injured starting keeper, Dusty Huddock) Ugo, Vercollone, Armstong and Lesense have been subs for us but haven't gotten any starting time. I don't think Hughies, Romereo, Catalano or McKnight has seen any time yet this year. Over all I think it was a great experience for some of our guys to have a chance to play against the Best the US has to offer mikey
