Man IDK. I have read that you need one. Ive read that you don't. You can only get one shipped if you are an Italian citizen. Which defeats the purpose of trying to get them ahead of time. Ive also read its more for the travelling fans to make sure they don't end up in the home team section. Anyone else shed some light on this?
Serie B had a couple teams fold. So I am not sure if that has caused a scheduling hold up. I am also attempting to see a Palermo match so I will be checking frequently.
Serie B and Serie C I think are still having issues on exactly WHO is going to be in those divisions with teams folding lol
I read on one site you didn't need one. That if you were going to an away stadium and wanted to sit in the away supporters section, you needed one but otherwise you wouldn't. I'm not sure tho lol

I see now that the Serie B and C schedule due to be released on the 6th. Good thing I don't leave til the 7th. Hopefully Catania is playing a home match the Sunday I'm there.
i'm happy to see someone finally picked up the rights to serie a, but i really enjoyed the way bein worked on fubotv. it looks like i'm going to have to figure out a change in streaming services now to see if i can save any money and add espn+.
We cut the cord and moved to Hulu Live, which has the ESPN channels (plus the Turner and Fox channels for the other sports). Plus nearly all the channels are streamed in 60 fps. ESPN+ is $5 a month or $50 for the year.
I emailed both Italo Cucci and Benedetta Rinaldi to find out if they will be showing the games but they have responded as of yet.
RAI still has US Italian language rights so they'll be doing their usual coverage, which I think is in HD (or maybe they aired them in HD last season too, dunno).
Seems very fishy. ESPN owns the streaming rights for Serie A in the US. Not sure how this seriea-pass can pull it off.
I wonder whether it will be restricted to territories where the rights were not sold to a broadcast or streaming service.
Italo Cucci emailed me back and he said he no longer worked for Rai. He also said it was only ESPN as far as he knows. The thing is, they say the same thing every year and then Rai Italia always end up showing the game....
at the bottom of that page it says "IMG Media Limited". that's the company who bought the rights from serie a or whoever. they then license them to espn. i think @r0adrunner is probably correct that this will only be available in areas where they weren't able to sell the rights, or it was a back-up plan in case no big broadcaster bought them.
ESPN has the English/Spanish language tv/streaming rights in the US. RAI has the Italian language rights in the US.
