Hopefully the rested starters will have little trouble handling Louisville on Wednesday. It would be quite disappointing to drop this match as they are facing the only non mls side in the quarters. Let’s hope Pauno gets it right...

Louisville are the reigning USL champs and have beaten New England on their way to the quarters. If we play our starters there's no excuse for a loss IMHO.

Oh yeah? How can a team prepare for Der Stich, The Bringer of Defeat, being in attendance on Weds? I will be making my way out to Bridgeview on Weds and my record is not good. You'll be able to tell where I'm sitting by the strange meteorological phenomena taking place over head.

Is there pub to pitch for Weds?

Do we get a ticket as season ticket holders or do we have to pay?

    "have to pay"?!?

    You get to PAY.
We are so lucky as season ticket holders to get to pay to the US Open Cup tickets.
Tickets start at $30.00 for the corner seats and go up to an awesome $72 for the "club" seats.

    YEAH!

You have an ownership that loves its season ticket holders and wants to treat them with the upmost of respect. They value the season ticket holders so much, they even had a "presale" back at the end of June.

You do receive a complimentary parking pass for the game.

I was almost going to go to this, but $30 minimum? And what's parking now a days? $20? Uh no. Maybe if we make and host the final I'll pay that.

If that happens I bet the minimum won't be $30 and parking will probably be $40.

    That's the way Andi works.......

Paying more than usual to watch us play against what nimrod would call a “minor league” team. Hilarious.

As much of a rip-off it is for the cost of a ticket and parking to this match I'll be there. The USOC is important to me and these matches in my opinion have the best crowds. No group sales, no "we're here for a nice night out" people, no Groupon's. Just real supporters thirsty for blood.

On a side note if anyone going Wednesday is interested in going to a Red Stars game this season I have a bunch of parking passes (I'm the kind of season ticket holder that just can't make it to games) that I will give away for the low low cost of free. So if there's any takers let me know.

I am somewhat excited for this game.

I think the Fire have a better than decent chance of making it to the finals.
A win tomorrow sets up a game against
    either Philadelphia or Orlando

A win there and on to the Final.

Nikolic is the leading scorer, among teams still in the tournament (of course, he is tied on 3 goals with Dilly Duka, now playing with mighty FC Motown [out of New Jersey, not Detroit] in the NPSL)

With Pawn'd-o-bitch(tm) as coach, this sets up as the perfect scenario to crash out...the better to reserve the squad's energy and focus for a deep playoff run* (read, one and out).

    Dump that piece of trash.

The Fam and I will be there. Probably won't make it to much of the tailgating after working, but say "hi" if you see us. I'll be the tall Swede with a wife that's too attractive for him and a 2 year old girl who is too cute to genetically be his.

    "In Rod We Trust"
    Blagojevich?

Sure, he is a convicted felon and was a crappy governor (at least after the first two years), who probably knows nothing about coaching soccer team, but may STILL be better than Paunovic.

I've seen your posts around here. Enjoy your freedom for a little while longer. You've gone to more movies in a day than I go to in a year.

My debit card is getting declined. Is that evidence I shouldn't drive out to bridgeview on a wednesday night?

My other card worked. Maybe I was just entering it wrong. Or that's the one I lost that was replaced. Anyway still not sure I want to drive out there but, I have a short shift and I might just drive out there early park and take the midway cta downtown and hang out at the beach. Too much to hope for a tp express tommorow?
