GA Revs took out Colorado Rovers: http://thecup.us/2013-us-open-cup-p...edge-colorado-rovers-in-pks-to-reach-round-1/ " The Revs will now return home to Georgia to take on another Colorado team, this time in front of their own fans. The Revolution will host the PDL’s Real Colorado Foxes on May 14 at the RYSA Soccerplex in Conyers, Ga. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. The winner of that match will take on the NASL’s Atlanta Silverbacks, the team that eliminated the Revolution in Round 2 last year."
Looks like Georgia Revolution won 4-3. So I guess that means the Silverbacks play in Conyers at the RYSA center next Tuesday?
Yep. And if we get to where we have an MLS team at home in this tournament, we can't sell the home game rights this time around. Kudos to the Cup organizers for coming around on that one.
Atlanta Silverbacks (NASL)/Georgia Revolution (NPSL) winner at Real Salt Lake (MLS) Rio Tinto Stadium; Sandy, Utah Tuesday, May 28, at 7:30 p.m. MT http://www.soccerbyives.net/2013/05/potential-opponents-unveiled.html#more-36674 Why couldn't it have been a weak club like Chivas or Chicago, lol? I wonder if there will be a stream anywhere. I would probably still watch even if Conyers pulls off the upset and gets to make the trip.
For anyone who can't make tonight, there will be a video stream: http://www.playonsports.com/events/61509
Good high scoring match, 3 - 2, if I remember correctly this Georgia "classico" was also close last year.
Why is it that some teams always get the breaks? And others do not? The Silverbacks are the only NASL team to travel. Even Charleston Battery gets to host MLS. Were we sold out again?
No, the process is determined by coin flip now. Just bad luck. Still hoping we pull off an upset. If were to stay in the tournament long enough, maybe we would get a home game.
4th round draw is done. IF we beat RSL, we get the winner of San Jose vs Charleston at HOME on June 12: http://thecup.us/pairings-for-2013-us-open-cup-fourth-round-set-for-june-12/
Man. I haven't been this up for ANY game in a long, long time. I can't stop thinking about how awesome a win would be. Thank goodness RSL is providing streaming video!
