Just called Fado's and it appears that they're coming out of their Eurosnob shell. They're in negotiations with Setanta for the game, trying to get it down to $10. It may be $20. If it's $10, I'll be there.
So much for that hope. I just called and they won't have it. It's a Saturday night, and they have their dinner crowd to deal with. Pisses me off that they teased me by saying they'd have it. Got a phone call in to the Ale House as a dwindling last hope.
Is there anyone in Austin who has DirecTV and was planning on ordering the game who might want to invite some of us fans over and split the cost?
Not only that, searching far and wide, our network of crack fans hasn't even been able to dredge up anyone with DirecTV.
Re: Re: US - Canada viewing in Austin I called yesterday afternoon and they said they WOULD have it - even though it wasn't in their weekly e-mail. I guess I will need to confirm.
Re: Re: Re: US - Canada viewing in Austin Ditto. Just called Dave at Fado's and he said they will be showing the game and they won't be charging for it! Of course, they wouldn't mind us buying drinks and dinner ;-)
Re: Re: Re: Re: US - Canada viewing in Austin And I had to call myself because I had a hard time believing it -- YAHOO! Dinner and footie. I'm calling around, should bring at least a handful.
