  1. Well, it will be interesting to see Old Luis play the match he would have loved to play in S Africa.

The question is whether the team will be able to fly back because of the volcano eruption in Chile. Lots of flights have been cancelled.

    Hurrah, another borefest!

An Elia comment on nu.nl cracked me up today. He was massively looking forward to visiting Brazil but now he's disappointed. "It's all beaches, it's not for me. I'm already black, what would I want to tan for."

Remember it´s just a friendly... hardly the match to really sink his teeth in.

Its anything but friendly, and you guys are getting raped by the referees and Lugano. A very open and lively first half.

they're really bad, we should have scored 2 at least, but we're playing bad too. But maybe next half, the temperature here is better for us then last game in Brazil, so I don t expect a gassed Dutch team.

Those boys at HSV and Man City really ********ed up Nigel de Jong. 100% destroyer, 0% football. He didn't use to be like that.

And when is Van Marwijk getting fired for gods sake. He's ruining a great generation with horrible football. He will never learn.

play through the wings, and you already scored 3...through the middle with one striker just doesnt work

Biggest problem is the midfield. You can't control the game playing 4-2-3-1.

Copa Confraternidad... it seems. Don't worry if you don't know it. The first time it is contested... So we could win a major intercontinental copa! :D

Damn this has probably been RVP's worst game ever, but I'm sure Lugano had something to do with it.

Whatever happends on penalties next, we showed the world that we deserved to be in the final.

No Stekelenburg, VDW, van Bommel, Sneijder, VDV & Robben and CONMEBOL's best still couldn't beat us.

well it was close against Brazil with not their best players, and today was baddddddddddddddddddddddddd, only one chance created. Should have played over the wings, South american teams are used that attacks go through the middle.
But with the penalties was a nice practice for the real work maybe next year or in 2014, even that the real pressure is not there. And nice for the fans.

But as de Boer says, it's so hard to load yourself for such useless games when you're tired and want to get your ass to the beach asap.

since when is Uruguay CONMEBOL´s best?

best qualified in the last world cup is different from being "CONMEBOL´s best".

you also tied with Brazil, which is also not a huge achievement since Brazil is rebuilding the team from scratch with an entirely another play philosophy and it will take time for that team to fit the piece perfectly.

(Spain at least has half its team playing together in Barcelona in the same style, another 40% plays in Real Madrid, and the last 10% play in some other club... so the players already know each other and how to play together)
