Wow that's pretty quick. Imagine he scores on his debut like Chuky did.

It's true, I just wish his manager hadn't said shit, then I wouldn't have gotten my hopes up to see him debut.

Antuna on the roster for today's game against Venlo. On the bench, maybe he gets to see some action today.

Awesome for the kid... Hopefully he gets consistent minutes and earns a spot so that he makes the World Cup roster instead of Giobrandy...

Don't see Uriel going unless ends up becoming a starter for his team. That's why Tecatito didn't go to Brazil 2014, because he wasn't a starter for the first team.

  13. AD Sportwereld rating:
    FC Groningen – VVV-Venlo 1-1
    FC Groningen: Padt 6,5; Kane 6, Te Wierik 6, Larsen 6, Warmerdam 6,5; Drost 5,5, Jenssen 5,5, Bacuna 5 (62. Van Nieff -), Idrissi 4,5 (56. Antuna 5); Mahi 6,5 (79. Van Weert -), Veldwijk 4.
    VVV-Venlo: Unnerstall 7,5; Rutten 6 (83. Van Bruggen -), Röseler 6, Promes 5,5, Labylle 6,5; Post 5,5, Seuntjens 6, Leemans 6,5; Tissoudali 5,5 (65. Opoku -), Thy 6, Hunte 6 (75. Nwakali -).
    Arbiter: Lindhout 5

If true, I don't think Antuna has done enough to earn a call up. The guy hasn't played enough this year to warrant a call up like Govea. He's a bench player that never enters the game

I believe his call up is based more on how osorio rates him. That defender from America and this kid are on osorios good side. Or maybe he sees something in them.

This call up is based entirely on the fact that he's already in Europe where the friendlies take place and Osorio's master plan to "reward" players who take risks by moving abroad. This call up is a loud and clear message to those players who chose to stay in their well paid, comfy, jobs in Mexico. You want to be considered for a spot? Then take some risks and get your ass to Europe. If not, then you might be overlooked.

And don't come @ me with Dos Santos MMLS players. They were part of the processo before their moves so it's a bit different for them. Though I know Osorio has said he's not happy with their decisions.

I'd only call Jona, as he showed he can still play solid for the NT despite the limitations of MLS. Also Vela when he eventually joins up at LAFC, provided he does the same as Jona. Gio and anybody else in MLS should not be considered.

It's the Osorio effect. The rumored call up to the national team got him into the starting line-up. Either that or he's finally earned his spot. Regardless, good news.
