The delayed page jumping isn't the hitbox.js. I'm blocking that with FireFox. There's a 10-15 second delay at the end of each page load where the screen and focus reverts to where it was when the page started loading - regardless of where one has scrolled to. It is very annoying if one is already typing in the quick reply box. ------ The "longer" than 30 seconds thing on searches probably has to do with the fact that they servers aren't staying synced, and the one you last searched on is ahead of the one that you got for the new search. I'm guessing this, because posts are still showing up out of order.

It's been like that for me for a few days now, today included. IMHO, the server upgrade sucks. More problems now that I've had in a long time.
The amazing thing is we've been trying to replicate all these problems you are reporting, on the east and west coasts, on ie and firefox, and we have failed.
server time sync is fixed. they are syncing with each other and a global time server, and correcting themselves every day at midnight. hopefully that ends that problem
Nice to see that the whole damned thing has now gone completely haywire. I particularly like the rep nipples being replaced with "X is becoming a superstar" repeated over and over. Always an adventure clicking up BS these days.
A page loads, the page load status bar at the bottom isn't complete (I got this far when it finally finished). When the page "finishes loading" the screen resets to the top, tearing you away from typing/scrolling/whatever. There don't appear to be any missing elements (text/graphics/scripts). Could it be one of the EIGHT cookies that seem to follow me around BigSoccer? 8? Are you freakin' kidding me? Anyone else see sports.ecyclopedia.com or whatever it was??? We pay money. They call in half the internet to download stuff while we're viewing a page. It takes longer to download now on 5 servers instead of 3. And we can't have any thread go to 501 posts. Nosiree! In seriousness, i've noticed people typing in different fonts, different colors, etc. I can see where colors would come in use, so it probably wouldn't make sense to disable those, even though some people use off-colors in every post. But would disabling of fonts, even temporary help??
I am still having some problems with having to log in all the time. I have cleared the cookies and have done what you have asked, Huss. But I am still having some problems.
Once the contents of the page loads, I hit the stop button. That prevents whatever else is going on from happening so my screen doesn't jump around.
Are the graphics for the buttons, smilies, etc on a server in the Artic connected to the internet by a 2400 baud modem? Every page seems to load slowly because of those tiny grpahics. The text flies up and then they slowly load in. Drives me nuts and only happened after the server move.
Same here, it's super slow for me. It's slow on Firefox on my work pc and home Mac and my home Safari browser as well. It's pretty annoying really.
Alright. This sucks. It was faster for me before the upgrade. Everything is slow. Everything they're talking about above I've got. Also, opening up the reply screen is terribly slow. Posting a reply is also very slow too.
I crap faster than this site loads right now. You added what? 2 new servers? This is amazingly rediculous.
Huss, Why not just shut the board down for a couple of days until you get the servers up and running? I'd rather be without BigSoccer for a few days then have these slow, crawling loads drag on for weeks. At this point, BS pages load slower than any other site I can find. Are you trying to force me to stop procrastinating?

We're working on it. It's very odd, cause we can't replicate it with consistency, tho we managed to this weekend. My 3 computers at home and at work, for instance, have zero problems at all. That's not an excuse tho.
I'm not going to go through this thread looking for some post addressing this b/c, frankly, I'm shocked that I got a reply page to begin w/. For the last 2 days i've clicked onto links for a page (like the latest post in the Teams forai, which is on the MLS page) and gotten a blank page that just stopped downloading. Oh, and the pm's and the Mybigsoccer links are excrutiatingly slow or non-existent. And if I try to link onto UK/Europe/USA/Americas/Asia/More from my bigsoccer page, it clicks me back onto ... mybigsoccer. carlos of the frustrated kind
Not only is the site taking forever to load, still, but now I get to see this when I load a lot of pages. It's totally arbitrary when it happens.
Great. Now I've got the same "wacky view" thing as Dante. May I just add that I hate the new servers. This is the first time I've ever felt hate for an inanimate object but they deserve it.
