Hey guys, Just a quick question here, there isn't by any chance a special thread dedicated to attending Barca matches is there by any chance. I'll be in Spain for a week attending the Champions League final in Madrid and am looking at perhaps adding the Cope del Rey final in Seville which Barca are also playing in. Problem is tickets available are really high, like around 400 euros on Viagogo and site like that... not sure if I want to pay that much for the game, plus there's logistic issues in getting there and stuff... will ticket prices for that match eventually come down, or are there other places to get tickets for the Copa del Rey final?
€400 seems like quite the ripoff for a Valencia v Barca match. I don't know if that price will go down, but I know these tickets went on sale in early April so you are a bit on the late side. Just a warning: in last year's CdR final in Madrid I wouldn't have gotten in the stadium if my name wasn't on the ticket. They checked my ID! Thoroughly. But whether they check or not probably depends on where your seat is - Barca section, Valencia section or neutral (doubt they check ID in the neutral parts). And the ID-checks are probably done on a semi-random basis also.
Oh wow - good god that name on the tickets thing is probably the final nail in the coffin.. meh, I'll just stick to the CL final, hopefully will see Barca there anyway... attending the CDR is kind of logistical pain anyway, have to change the flight times, everything.. If I can't even get into the match after paying all that probably no need to take the risk at those prices. I went to Bologna vs Padova Coppa Italia match last summer and it was the same, horrible lines as they checked for names on tickets... thanks!
Doesn't the AVE go all the way to Seville from Madrid? But yeah... like you said, probably not worth it. If you were closer then maybe - would be fun to just party with the 15,000 or so Barca fans who will be in Seville and then maybe you'll meet someone with an extra ticket. But not worth to make a long trip just for that chance.
I'll be visiting Barcelona next week (and attending the match vs Getafe) and had planned on doing one of the various Camp Nou tours offered at some point during our visit... I was initially leaning towards taking a separate trip to Camp Nou for the "Players Experience" tour , but I noticed that they also offer a "Match Day Tour" which could be cool as well and would make for a fun day where we do the tour and then stick around to watch the match later... Anyone done either of these and have any feedback or advice they care to share?
I tried sending you a PM but doesn't seem to allow it. Anyway, I'm waiting to see the result of tonight's match. Should Barca, as expected go through to the CL final, I don't see any point in paying all that money for the CDL as that would seem like just a warmup. Should they lose to Liverpool, I'd be a little more tempted. I do plan to go to Seville on this trip but at a later date, and maybe when it's less crowded.
I have a friend who will be in Barcelona this week. She did the stadium tour a couple of years ago but with pre-season training opening up this week she was wondering if sessions are open to the public. And if so, how far in advance are they announced. Appreciate any info shared.
Questions to the group: 1. Is the info in this thread still applicable WRT tickets? 2. Alternatively, can I use, say Stubhub or seatgeek, or some other site to grab tickets? 3. If there is a site to grab tickets to a match, which one do you recco? Thinking about catching Porto late in November, as we may well be in town during that timeframe. Thanks in advance!
Before I became a socio I simply used the club's website: Football Tickets | FC Barcelona Official Channel FYI, since this thread was last active, it is now easier for socis to apply for tickets to away matches: Members - Tickets for away matches (fcbarcelona.com) . Its a lottery system for the more attractive matches, but I've never not gotten tickets when I've applied.
Ok, I'm not a socio, as yet. But, I'm thinking of going to the return of Porto in the UCL on 28 November. Will this be a difficult match to get into? Also, have you done the lottery for bigger fixtures? Thanks again.
