Do you know where this match was played? When last did Guadeloupe or Martinique play a non Concacaf country outside of the Gold Cup ?

The match was played in French Guinea , that`s all I know.

Guadeloupe played against Paraguay in 1987 , and two matches against Reunion.

o god i swear Guatemala is the most hated team in the Concacaf outside of Mexico and USA...

you don't see me giving little cheap shots like that, i guess some times, i guess fear does that especially with Wcq coming up

Watching the El Salvador-Jamaica match on FSC (not sure if its tape delayed).

Good heavens is Jamaica dire. They've gone from a real threat to qualify in the Hex to a team I wouldn't be at all surprised to see knocked out before the first qualifying stage.

Absolute garbage management in that federation the last 5-10 years.

    We didn't play that bad:confused:
    Could've been better, but dire...after a 3:0 win:confused:

Though your last sentence is full of truth!

A lot of my countrymen take every opportunity to knock the Jkans, but I also have a hard time understanding how you can win 3-0 on a dire performance when there's not that much depth in Concacaf to begin with.

You'll have to explain this one. After all this isn't England Andorra or Mexico-Dominica we're talking about.

Its not hard. Jamaica huffed and puffed with no ability to break down the El Salvadorian defense for the majority of the game, the first 30 minutes were absolutley awful, no ideas, no creativity.

Jamaica scored their first on a speculative effort from about 35-40 that the keeper decided not to move for and flapped at like a beached whale, any keeper for any Hex potential team would have saved it IMO. Their second goal came right after as the Salvadorian's paniced and pushed too far up and a Jamaican made a maurading run right through the middle of the field without being picked up before leaving off to Gardner.

The second half was soured by a silly Salvadorian red card, the fact that Jamaica only scored once afterwards, even with 11 v. 10 I think speaks to their inability to put together any semblance of an integrated attacking move.

Sometimes the scoreline flatters, and it certainly did in this case. Jamaica were dire going forward, end of.

Ok thanks for the match report. So were El Salvador playing a youth team, or were they just awful ?

Funny enough, other than online battles...I've never experienced the "resentment" between our 2 countries.
The few bad apples on the SocaWarriors board has just intensified our "rivalry"

Well going off our form from The Asian Tour, dire wouldn't be the term I would use...more like improving.

The 1st half, we were creating chances, but what we lacked was the finishing touch, not just scoring, but getting a good shot on goal. Otherwise we played that whole 45 in the Salvadorian half. The 1st goal was great, should've been saved of course, but the keeper was out of position, and made an attempt to stop it...didn't think he flopped around. He seemed to be only a foot below the ball.

The 2nd goal.....credit to Jamaica, El Salvador pushed forward, but they had 7 players back....including the all of the back 4.

The 2nd half, was poor for us, taking away the final 10mins.

But again, dire isn't the right word....dire was a couple months ago, slow improvement is how I'd describe us. I mean I'm not getting hyped up about beating El Salvador, it wasn't a huge test (not offense guys). But we need to notch these wins to get the ball rolling.

Abit of both, but mostly a youth team. Only 6 of the 18 players who went to Jamaica are regulars in the national team, the rest was mostly made up of El Salvador's U23 players. Many of whom played there first senior cap in this game.
