I heard it was because of lack of funds. But I read more recently that the technical director of the Antigua FA is a close personal friend of Lothar Matthäus, the Hungarian coach. So Antigua was chosen ahead of Haiti, Panama, Jamaica and a few other teams. An American publicity firm will pay for all of Antigua's expenses. By the way, the match is now in Lockhart Stadium, Fort Lauderdale.

Guadeloupe has a friendly scheduled for December 28th, anyone know who they will play against? It doesn't mention an opponent on their site.
Thanks for that. I think the game was actually played at Florida International Stadium which is probably a good thing as 250 people were at the game.
Major changes in the pots this month. Guyana has moved into Pot E! Great work! British Virgin Islands are the ones to fall to Pot F to make room for the South Americans. Those friendlies Guyana played in September and October really paid off, hopefully they can maintain their position and hold onto a position in Pot E. The next match is against Antigua & Barbuda in January. A good showing could help Guyana cement a spot in this pot and give them a great chance at advancing to round 2 in 2010 qualifying. Pot E #75 Cuba #98 Haiti #115 Barbados #128 St. Lucia #151 Grenada #152 Surinam #154 Antigua & Barbuda #161 Bermuda #167 Guyana #168 Netherland Antillies Pot F #171 British Virgin Islands #172 Dominica #174 Dominican Republic #181 Cayman Islands #193 Bahamas #195 US Virgin Islands #196 Puerto Rico #198 Anguilla #200 Aruba #202 Montserrat #203 Turks & Caicos Islands I added Puerto Rico in the mix as well, though I'm not sure how that would affect the pots if they did take part in the competition, so I'll just assume an extra team is added to Pot F.
Guyana won 2-1 against Antigua & Barbuda in first match. http://www.stabroeknews.com/index.pl/article_sports?id=45845608

Jamaica will play USA on april 11 in Cary, NC. Then they will travel to England to play Beckham & Co. on June 3rd in Manchester. England will use this game as a warmup for what to expect against Trinidad & Tobago, who are among the teams in their group. any comments?
Trinidad & Tobago begin their warmup fixtures for the World Cup later today against Iceland in London, England. They return home for a fixture against Peru on May 10th in Port Of Spain, they will use this match as a warmup for what to expect from Paraguay. On May 27th they travel to Graz, Austria to play Wales as a possible warmup for what to expect from England. On may 31, the soca warriors then head to Slovenia to play the hosts in Celje. And finally they head to the Czech Republic to play the the hosts in Prague. Does anyone know if they will play in their World Cup uniforms? Have anyone seen them?
T&T Won the first friendly against Iceland 2:0, two goals from Yorke in either half. They played in the new kit, which many are less than impressed with. Some pictures are here: http://news.search.yahoo.com/search/news?p=trinidad+iceland&ei=UTF-8&fr=FP-tab-news-t&c=news_photos
Congratulations to Iran my friend. I am sure that I am not the only person who will read your post who will want to ask you this question: Why did you post that result here? Neither Iran nor Costa Rica are Caribbean nations. Just curious. Thanks.
