    The “field general” is something you can’t really pick up from watching EPL games on TV. It’s not what I expected— but I am damn pleased to see it.

    Important update: Happened to click on someone's "Like" banner and it led me here. Watched it for another 5 minutes before bed. Yup. Still good.

    Having made the mistake of skipping sunday cos of the rain we were determined not to miss this!

    Few pitchers beforehand at Bardo and it was great to see such a crowd on a wednesday night.

    Bit of a queue for tickets but that's a good thing and then we stood right behind Hamid for the first half and had a birds eye view of their goal. Shocking defending but Rooney's world class finish at the other end seemed to deflate the Timbers coming right on half time. His movement and finish said it all.

    Best goal of all was the last one. Super dink over the keeper and our view was super for it.

    Impressed by Acosta as having Rooney there certainly has made his game better.
