I'm guessing it's on the East coast since we are supposedly playing @ Scotland on the other friendly date in November.
Man,I would love for this game to be held in Jacksonville,Fl. The US/Scotland game drew 45K fans last year. I'm sure that a US/Spain friendly would draw just as many if not more.
Very nice. Is there some reason we have been able to attract so many high quality teams for friendlies? Is it because playing in the US is lucrative?
I imagine that that has a bit to do with it. But, I would imagine that more than that it comes down to the fact that other feds recognize that playing the US will provide a very good quality test for their squad--which is especially important when these friendlies are happening in the lead-up to a World Cup.
also seems like a lot of european based players really like coming to the usa, though this would not be prime vacation timing. somewhere like miami to host?
Nice, now I really want us to get 6 points, qualify atop the hex and test the results against Spain. We will probably lose, but it would be a good gauge for the year.
It likely would draw more, though the problem is a lot of those people would be Eurosnob bandwagon fans who will be rooting for Spain. Remember the 2011 friendly at Gillette Stadium?
