I was in a rush to get ready and head to work worried for my life thinking that I was going to be late, I arrived to work, only to realize that as soon as I clock in.... I wasn't even scheduled to come in.
Starting XI: 12-Zack Steffen; 2-DeAndre Yedlin, 3-Matt Miazga, 5-Cameron Carter-Vickers, 19-Jorge Villafaña; 20-Wil Trapp (capt.); 6-Darlington Nagbe, 8-Marky Delgado, 4-Tyler Adams, 10-Kenny Saief; 7-Bobby Wood
Wood Saief - - - Adams - - - - - Delgado - - - Nagbe Trapp Villafana - Miazga - Carter-Vickers - Yedlin Steffen My god what a sorry line up.
1. When can we stop the Nagbe out wide experiment? When has it worked? 2. Why Villafana over Robinson? I get he's been doing well in LMX but we know what we've seen from him, why not get a better look at Robinson in a meaningless game? Same for Shaq Moore/Yedlin 3. Wood is not very good as a lone striker in my eyes but I guess we don't really have a better option there.
Yuck. Paraguay is looking like a good bet at +240 to win and -140 at +.5 but you never know with friendlies and efforts, especially w/two teams not going to the cup.
Huh? Worked so well in tnt might as well double down. In my experience things can always get worse...in a hurry. Anyway.
With this line up I think it's fair to say that it will end in a stalemate 0-0 draw. Yes, I made that sentence as redundant as possible.
I'm not going to lie... Pretty stoked to see the team back in action. It's only tempered by the disappointment of only having one friendly this International window.
I wonder why Steffen is starting over Hamid?? Delgado, CCV, Miazga and Steffen played together on u20's in 2015.
I think this is correct but optimistically I am predicting a 3-1 win, solely based on my hope that this game is not a borefest like the BH game.
