I'm so frustrated with this team, but I'm more concerned about becoming apathetic. At least United Mania gave me someone to share my frustration. It's a long season without listening to them. I had a bunch of people over at the house. We had watched the US game and started to watch United. After we went 2-0 down, we just turned off the tv and went on to other things.
I hear you. The worst thing about DCU sucking is the sense of ennui. After the podcast left, there is one less sense of "community" for diehard fans to relate to. Just endless waves of mediocrity, watching guys aimlessly push the ball around the pitch while having Lindsay Simpson tell us what "Ben" is thinking and "reporting" the "tactical adjustments" suggested by Chad Ashton.
Who knows. Maybe the fact that he has balls makes him particularly stubborn and tied to shoddy tactics and poorly run practices.
I would like to hear Mike Martin call these moves deck chairs. Sometimes I think Mike is Shammy in disguise.
