I am really missing the United Mania podcast. I am still hoping this can be resurrected in some fashion. The local TV broadcast are way too oriented to spinning the poor play. As much as I like Dave Johnson he is not going to give you a direct assessment of United's actual play.

Today there is nowhere to look for a unbiased to the point critic of United's play and the progress or lack thereof of the Management and Training staff.

MLS seems to back this - CO did it and replaced news with a PR intern. Just read the Portand owner's twitter and you can see how harsh they are to all criticism.

Sorry guys, it just doesn't look like we'll be back anytime soon, if ever. The whole situation still stings and Martin is washing his hands of the team.

If you're looking for one person to blame for all of this - i'll give you a hint... She works the terrible pre-post and in-game interviews.

Hope you can crack that ingenious code..

Yeah, I heard from someone who was auditioning to be a member of the telecast team who told me that this female person seemed to have a veto over any new hires - especially any who could threaten her gig.

And to think I didn't like her because of her awful eye makeup and awful bleached blonde hair. At least, according my spouse, I will have a substantvie reason to dislike her -- she ruined an entertaining podcast. Time for torches and pitchforks.

Sounds like a possible conspiracy to keep the truth hidden, but you need to name at least 2 to make the definition stick. Are you sure there's no one else you can blame this all on?

So, not able to keep up with the forum as much as I'd like for now, so I'm wading back into podcasts. Downloaded Podcast Addict on my phone and need suggestions. Hit me.

Not disagreeing with anything here, but I give Lalas props for not sucking the dick of the USMNT or MLS. His critical commentary is somewhat refreshing, even if it is cloaked in the aura of "only someone as awesome as myself could utter these comments."

A bit late the conversation and the inside info. Where does her juice come from? She looks like a failed communications major who got lucky with a job interview. Is somebody her daddy?

Can you give me an example? I try hard to avoid him these days; so it's certainly possible he's changed. But in the past I remember him saying nice things about the league that made me go "oh, COME ON."

I do agree that the fawning perspective you talk about is so ubiquitous that it's refreshing when someone *isn't* that way.

Are we talking about Molly Bruh or Lindsay Notgonnalookhernameup? If it's Molly, why are the Screaming Eagles thanking her?

I think we were thanking Molly McManamon because she's leaving the Operations team (but I don't know for sure which Molly it was, I just know it was related to Operations) .... Last week we thanked Jason Amaguaña because he too is , this will be a huge loss. Some more good game-day experience leaving ... it was already a pretty strained system.
I feel even worse for the Supporter folks who have to deal with game-day situations now that no-one is in charge.

I'm often a game day volunteer. Jason and Molly have been great leaders, and have worked hard for many years to ensure that all the little behind the scenes things get done on schedule. And in the case of Jason, many many years. I hope upper management has found a way to keep them and reward them with promotions.

I have no idea exactly which words I accidentally deleted from my post above trying to replace a period with a comma, but at east one of them was "leaving" :) I seem to have misplaced my copy of Simple Post Editing For Dummies.

I would hope so but the club will likely replace these with Interns. Not joking.

Pretty sure one of them is going to work with United ..... Atlanta United.
I think the other one got a good job in the health care industry - but that could have been a 3rd person who's leaving, eavesdropping is hard when you don't hear very well ;) (... and are drinking and have bad short-term recall)
