Union go undefeated in Premier Division With previous Premier Division Group B wins over Monterrey and the New England Revolution, the Philadelphia Union faced off against the Chicago Fire needing only a result to win the group and advance to the Premier Division semifinals. With the win, the Union advanced to the semifinals in the Premier Division along with two other MLS teams http://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2017/...raculous-results-put-new-york-red-bulls-semis
http://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2017/04/18/baer-breaking-down-top-five-players-ga-cup Chad Letts, Philadelphia Union The Union made a run to the semifinals of the Premier Division behind some sterling performances from Letts, Brendan Aaronson, and Seth Kuhn. Letts, though, is the one to highlight here. The Jamaican U-17 international proved a force up top for the Union, using his strength to hold off the opposition while also showing some skill, including a Rivelino to set up a Union goal vs. Chicago.

I really do think our younger guys are top notch. I can't think of many that haven't looked like the real deal in the lower levels...with potential to be great top flight players. I just wish I had confidence in our organization to get them into our first team efficiently and without messing them up somehow. We seem to have the development part down, but it's the transition that has been the problem.
I'm not excited... but if the team is married to the development route it's good to hear actual development news.
We suck and there's no hope of winning a trophy, let alone competing with the rest of the league. The academy and youth in general is just an update version of the "Five Year Plan."
He's been pumping up Fontana for months... I hope he's right, but this tweet is more of him doubling down on his previous statements so now if it comes out true he looks like he knows what he's talking about. That being said, JT probably has probably been keeping tabs on Fontanna more than anyone else here, so i guess I'll have to take his word for it.
Not to mention he is NOT a fan of the Union either. He's always been highly critical of the organization, especially the former regime.
JT is a clown, but what I see from this kid impresses me. Its a signal that there are some players in the pipeline. None of us know if he'll pan out but its a positive sign and he plays a skill position.
But how quickly can JT get to New York versus, say, Chester?? I've always been curious about that. . .
Union's top academy prospect (originally from Georgia) leaves Union for ATL academy. either he was homesick or unionsick
