Fafa called in for the friendlies next week: https://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2018/10/05/adams-pulisic-forced-withdraw-usmnt-squad-picault-called Dockal was also called in for the Czech Republic's UEFA Nations League games as well.
I'm sure that had something to do with it, but he's had a pretty good season and he's US based, so easy to call up on short notice since the two games are in Tampa and Connecticut.
Bořek Dočkal was named new captain of the Czech Republic ahead of the derby v Slovakia @UEFAEURO https://t.co/00Etp9vFTl— Ondřej Zlámal (@UEFAcomOndrejZ) October 12, 2018
Dockal was captain and assisted on both goals in the Czech Republic’s 2-1 win at Slovakia. The first assist was a nice through ball. The second assist was a high looping cross from the corner flag.
Congratulations to McKenzie, Real, and Fontana for making the U-20 qualifying team. Kind of a strange decision to release McKenzie when Atlanta United wouldn't let Andrew Carleton go for this tournament (Carleton has played 161 minutes all season, McKenzie has played 1539 and is a starter at this point). DC United also didn't release Chris Durkin.
Thanks, that makes a lot more sense. Happy for him to have the opportunity. This post from Brian Sciaretta has a few more details: "McKenzie is in a bind with this situation but both the US and Philly are going to try to make it work. I understand he’s going to float between both teams."

Blake and Burke called up: https://www.philadelphiaunion.com/p...RT40kTjoD6E9mRf-Ar3X9nwVSbOsp3WJQ9LHroyCKoqYg Blake and Burke join the Reggae Boyz ahead of two matches: a Concacaf Nations League contest at El Salvador (March 23) and an international friendly at Costa Rica (March 26). March 23rd hits up against the Columbus game. So no Blake or Burke for that match. Santos out for 4 weeks.... sooooooo we're looking at Fafa and Accam starting up top I guess? Maybe Kacper?
Since the 2nd game is in Costa Rica, and then we go on the road to Cincinnati just 4 days later, I'm not too sure if they'd be ready for that match either. Blake could be okay, but depending on Burke's playing time in the friendlies, I'd say he would miss both.
The Columbus game is going to be interesting. At a minimum, Columbus is going to be missing Zardes, Trapp and Steffen and the Union will be without Burke, Creavalle and Blake.
