Bedoya was called into the USMNT camp, but withdrew himself because of the strained rib muscle he suffered against RBNY.

He wouldn't have strained that rib if he was playing in Europe.

Creavalle was called up to play for Guyana this week but it is unclear whether he played. It looks like Blake and Burke played for Jamaica.

Creavalle subbed in at least one of the games according to a link from PSP yesterday.

Does anyone think that Rosenberry or Pontius will get any real playing time in the friendlies? I see Pontius being rewarded for his good season and Rosenberry being kind of a preview call up. He is a potential future regular, but not at this time.

Who knows but this camp is a great opportunity for Bruce to get a good long look at all the US MLS talent. I think the pressure is too high right now for callups as rewards.

I'm guessing every player will get the chance to earn a start during camp. It's not like JK holdovers have done much to continue as auto-starts.

Doyle sees a bright future for Rosenballs. I don't know how many games that lineup wins but it would sure be entertaining.

MLS All Star game should try a North America vs the World format similar to the NHL in the late 90s. Would rather see all MLS players than <insert your favorite Euro team> not trying.

    Make it happen Garber.

I'm not militant about this, but with all the complaints on length of the season, I'd prefer the ASG was scrapped entirely and the league inserted a midweek regular game to finish the RS sooner.

Yes please. I feel like playofffs are enough of a bone for the American fan. Why does MLS need an ASG?

I agree, unless they go with a Liga MX All Stars vs. MLS All Stars format. Outside of that, I say scrap it.

I will say though, the All Star Game was a ton of fun to attend when it was at PPL Park. I understand both sides of the argument, and actually lean more to scrapping it.

East v West would be more compelling than the current system

The current way they do it is embarrassing, I'll take anything over it.

Are we not all "American" fans? It is our league, they are not throwing us a bone to run it like most Americans prefer. I'm pretty sure that the ASG is not going anywhere. In fact, it more than likely is part of their CBA. Players derive bonuses for appearances and they also get exposure on a bigger stage. That being said, I hope MLS keeps things "American"! Playoffs, ASG's, draft, the whole shebang. In fact, I'd prefer that they make the ASG MORE American and get rid of the stupid European opponents. Let's go full on East v. West. I want to see our players, not some teams I don't give a rats ass about!

If the ASG is a call out in the CBA, the owners put it there as a moneymaker. It does little to nothing for the players. 18 players out of 600+ is hardly something to haggle over. It's a BS media thing. No one wants to see an off season Euro club run these guys around. Can you imagine a MLS only game? 0.0 rating.

I believe it is included in the CBA. That's why guys like CJ who don't even travel for the game get named sometimes - they still receive the bonus. I think it's rooted in a minimum number of players who contractually receive the bonus. I believe (correct me if I'm wrong) they used to do EvsW but needed less players when they switched format, yet still pay the same number of players the bonus as before.

I'm all for scrapping the playoffs, unbalanced schedule, ASG and drafts. But I'm sure I'm in the MLS minority.

I'd seriously consider cancelling my tickets if they scrapped playoffs.. single table is the worst.
