Has anyone ever been able to watch UniMas MLS matches in English? I have followed the steps as set forth by Verizon: https://www.verizon.com/support/residential/tv/programs-features/audio-language yet I have never been able to make it work. Has anyne here ever been successful?
I'm sure I have a post somewhere a couple years ago with the instructions, but I do know you need to press PIP on your remote to see the audio track options.
I have verizon fios and I can't get it to work. Even during the games the games on Uni they do an voice over saying you can listen in English, but I've followed the directions with no luck. https://www.mlssoccer.com/sap
The English broadcast is horrible so I don't bother, but I did check during the game and there was no alternate audio to select on fios for me.
I set my tv to alternate audio a couple of years ago and UniMas/Univision always comes up in English for me on MLS games. I was originally getting the stations via Comcast here in Houston and I now get them with antenna. Both work.
Here are the instructions HDSports gave me: "Press Menu and select Settings...from there Audio & Video>Audio>Audio Selection It comes disabled....enable it. Now go to your beIN Espanyol match, or your UniMas Friday MLS game. Press the PIP button (bottom center of remote control). An Audio Control Box comes up. Press PIP again and the second audio channel (English) comes up. If you switch channels and come back, you have to press PIP twice again to get the English audio. Remember that the match on beinEspanol will have English SAP audio, but the pregame, postgame will not."
I'm able to get English SAP on the national Univision and Unimas feeds on DirecTV, but my local affiliates are less reliable. Meanwhile, English SAP always works on UDN on DirecTV.
I know this doesn't help this thread but there is no way to do SAP on Unimas with Sling. They have said they are working on it for several years.
The MLS tv deal that includes Univision? It runs until 2022. Or do you mean Univision doing the alternate English audio? I don't think they are under any obligation to do it. It could end at any time.
