Good signing Vitoria Setubal is a historical team in Portugal and most players that do well at Setubal end up at the Bigger clubs like Braga, Guimarães, and the Big 3 teams

An example is Pedro Tiba 3 seasons ago he was a semipro player at Oliveira do Hospital then signed a pro contract @ 24 years for setubal. After one season he became a Portugal NT player and moved to Braga with a 20M € release clause

Beats playing in the Segunda Division with a little motivation and confidence a player of his caliber can do alot

Historical Club they play in the out skirts of Lisbon they produce a lot for the Portuguese NT players like Paulo Ferreira and Ricardo Carvalho were formed there. Mourinho is also from the city of Setubal and the current coach Domingos is a former striker for Portugal and also led Braga to the UEL Final were Braga lost to FC Porto and he is an attack minded coach

The current squad is not much as compared to previous squads but they are rebuilding and have a good following also a good city to live in very warm summers

This is the club page on Portuguese paper ABola the club sit just above the relegation zone

Intresting fact Mourinho is from Setubal, Davila is playing for Setubal bought are owned by Chelsea

Looks like Mourinho must of had something to do with this transfer as he must still rate Davila highly and he Mourinho still goes to Setubal games

Also fun fact one of last years star players for Setubal.......Pedro Tiba ended up after just one season moving to Braga (title contender this year) and Ricardo Horta was at Setubal last year and after a strller season he transferred to Malaga in Liga BBVA

If things go good for Davila I don't see his back at Chelsea but a transfer to a big team like Porto or Benfica could happen and I could see Chelsea putting a buy back clause sort of how Chelsea got Matic back

Either way a super super move for all parties involved

My grandmothers side is from Setubal and I can tell you that fans are pissed this year the team had been pretty rough to watch this season but let's see who else they pick up

Also they just sacked their coach

Judging from the comments their fans don't seem happy at all with Ulises coming, even calling him a "flop". Hope he gets to prove them wrong.

lol he was playing with Tenerife but they let him go, I dont think he was feeling it, this is a better opportunity because its a first division, I dont think hes experience success in any first division in europe, good for him, this is a good opportunity for him

    Good luck to the guy.

His situation is not as common in Mexico but he's one of many young players that showed promise and was immediately bought by a big club with no real plan in place for him. Cant even say that hes improved form his u20 days since hes played so little.
