Makes you wonder what would have happened of this group if Denmark had decided to actually play their first match vs Sweden, instead of giving up to a 3-0 awarded by forfait to their opponents.
Son of a Bench. They're losing all their precious Dottirs to the hospital, Herpes, or pregnancy. It's a good thing they have a lot of Dottirs within those 348,000 people. Maybe it's finally time to call up BabyDottir, or GothDottir. Would love to see what SportyDottir can provide, aka BaggyDottir. I wouldn't call up SkankDottir. I'm not sure she's ready to leave her other career. BookwormDottir is still enrolled in school, and she's eventually going for her PHD. LegsDottir chose to go into Dancing over the sport of Football. Poor choice.
the time line might be good; Daegny announced her pregnancy last Dec(so probably one month pregnant all ready/next game, Aug 31st)) She could be back on the pitch, while GothDottir babysits! here's highlights of Scotland/Poland. Looks like Millie Bright came over from merry old England to give some pointers to the Scot defenders! only could find this crappy highlight on the Ukraine upset over Sweden If Sweden looses their match with Denmark too, do you think the'll can their coach & we will see the triumphant return of Pia? when it comes to woso, Trumpski took the wrong countries to collude with, first NK crashes out, now Russia
Considering it was to be played in Sweden, I doubt it wouldn't have been a win anyway. That said, if Denmark was able to get a result then, then Sweden would be in panic mode right now after the Ukraine loss and I'd bet the coach would be out.
I gotta admit, the schedulers knew what they were doing: With the exception of group 7, every group has a #1-vs-#2 matchup in the final match-week, and in each group where the #3 is still alive, they're playing at least one match against the top two in the final match-week as well. (Group 7 is one of the groups were still-alive-#3 has both against the top two, so it might be said that the schedules were expecting Finland to do better than Austria.)
It is quite funny because teams organise the schedule between themselves. Wales have said they were happy they managed to get the relatively easier games at the beginning of their campaign so that they could build and boost their confidence. It worked well : 7 games unbeaten 0 goal conceded prior to their last home game v England.
even though they defaulted earlier to Sweden, 0-3, they Dane's currently lead the group based on goal differences http://www.uefa.com/womensworldcup/season=2019/standings/round=2000871/group=2005386/index.html the return match will be in Denmark(the Danes won, 2-0, last time those two teams met each other in Copenhagen). Before that, Sweden got to play the tough Ukraine's one more time One problem the Danes might have is that their starting GK has decided to quit the team to start a family, But then(in the US friendly) she wasn't really that good
For all those who are excited by Italian NT going to WWC 2019, two videos recetly uploaded on the official YouTube channel. Italy-Portugal's highlights from a ground-level view: All the 18 goals that Italy scored so far (7 wins out of 7 matches, with 18 goals scored and just 2 against). Below the video, you find the details of the single matches: - 15 September 2017: Italy-Moldova 5-0 (9' Sabatino, 22' Bonansea, 33' Girelli, 38' Bergamaschi, 60' Girelli) - 19 September 2017: Romania-Italy 0-1 (77' Corduneanu [Own Goal]) - 24 October 2017: Italy-Romania 3-0 (51' Girelli, 76' Girelli, 78' Bonansea) - 24 November 2017: Portugal-Italy 0-1 (37' Sabatino) - 28 November 2017: Moldova-Italy 1-3 (8' Tucceri Cimini, 30' Colesnicenco [Own-Goal], 76' Giacinti) - 10 April 2018: Italy-Belgium 2-1 (42' Rosucci, 80' Girelli) - 8 June 2018: Italy-Portugal 3-0 (4' Girelli, 13' Salvai, 90'+1' Bonansea)
a. I believe that the best thing Vlatko Andonovski of the Seattle Reign can do for Women's Football world- wide is to keep Jess Fishlock healthy for the August 31 Wales vs. England match. b. Winner of the 8/31/18 match is qualified for the WC in France by finishing #1 in the Group. It is the last Group game for Wales, but if England lose, then winning the September 4 match vs Kazakhstan will not get them to first place. c. Wales vs. England will be at Rodney Parade, Newport, South Wales, capacity 7,850. General Admission has sold out, remaining seats have been set aside for Wales and England supporters and other designated groups and people. Admission is £ 5.00, or about $ 6.60 U.S. Omigosh - seats at a USA vs Canada Concacaf Qualifier would average ten times that amount, and the match would draw 20,000(almost capacity ot Toyota Park, Frisco, TX) Quintessential Fishlock at about 1:25 in the Highlights: https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=107&v=JOr8ZyRg9LA
Apparently the capacity is about 5k for that game and England fans were allocated 220 tickets, which about nearly the 5% needed from the UEFA rules. There will be some black market for that game as many England fans who could not get a ticket wants to get one.
The FA of Wales should have asked the English FA for some planning advice nah, I'm joking. At least Newport must be guaranteed a sellout for that one. Wales' previous home attendances have been pretty WSL-ish... the last match v Russia in Newport only got 1,214.
They did make a heck of a racket... but generally UK women's attendances are struggling, except for a few big matches a year. Group 4 ... er ... UEFA may have made a mathematical mistake: UEFA's table vs. Wonkypedia & other sources Quite an important thing to get right, isn't it? Unless they're plotting to give Denmark and Sweden 0.5 qualifying places each, and play a dual-nationality XI in the World Cup while FIFA does cross-promotion with the TV show The Bridge. Goal difference isn't a factor just now – UEFA first applies head-to-head rules if the points are level in its qualifiers (unlike at the WC finals). Sweden's 3-0 up going into the Denmark match on 4 September.
I wouldn't say that's a mistake - I'm guessing that UEFA's table actually isn't applying any tiebreakers after total points, and is just listing the two teams alphabetically until all games have been played.
Then someone should tell Bosnia they're still beating Kazakhstan The rulebook only says tiebreaks are used "on completion" of the group stage. But it would be crazy not to apply them during the group, and it's misleading - HotJam (in good faith) believed Denmark were ahead, because UEFA said they were ahead.
two other charts have Sweden ahead thanks to a one goal difference https://us.women.soccerway.com/inte...fying-europe/2019/group-stage/group-d/g10893/ the earlier 3 goals forfeit will be hard to over come, but I would say Denmark has the momentum going for them. plus the easier schedule ~~~home game & a remaining fodder team, whereas SW got the away game & the other, hosting Ukraine(which they've just lost too) One way of looking who's the better team; Sweden lost to Ukraine, 0-1, but 4 days before Denmark beat UKR, 5-1 When DE & SW meet, the Danes will have be far the best player on the field -Pernille Harder & plus home field , but the Swedes have the advantage that their league is currently in season. should be a good one, could go either way
BBC announcement for TV coverage: Kickoff is Friday 18:45 GMT (7.45pm UK), it might be un-geoblocked...? The BBC site has streamed some England qualifiers freely before. Dunno if they still do. Presumably they'll also show Kazakhstan v England on Tue 4 Sep (4pm UK / 21:00 KZT). Some news on the Wales team's preparations and a possible Great Britain Olympic team: - https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/44889347 As mentioned there, the UK prime minister made a gaffe in the men's World Cup: Fly 24 flags?! I don't think they've got the space or the budget. (© Marie-Lan Nguyen / Wikimedia Commons / CC-BY 3.0)
Hey, this is happening again soon, yes? =-) I believe these are the clinching scenarios we could see on matchday 1 (Thurs/Fri/Sat): g1 - England clinches with a win at Wales g1 - Wales clinches with a win vs England g2 - Switzerland clinches with a draw vs Scotland g3 - Norway lets Netherlands clinch if they lose to Slovakia g4 - Ukraine misses the playoffs with anything short of a win at Sweden g5 - Czech Rep misses the playoffs with anything short of a win vs Slovenia g5 - Czech Rep also misses the playoffs if Germany avoids a loss at Iceland g5 - Iceland clinches with a win vs Germany g7 - Finland misses the playoffs with a loss at Spain
Don't forget to Predicto, it's very important Well maybe not. But it's got IMO the 4 most impossible UEFA qualifiers, and that's without including Belarus-Poland International Predicto 2018, the hardest game in the world - https://www.bigsoccer.com/threads/international-predicto-2018-the-hardest-game-in-the-world.2086325/

It is now sold out for the important World Cup qualifier: Iceland vs. Germany on Saturday. A record attendance in Icelandic women’s football where 10.000 Icelanders will be cheering for the team. Húh!. #womensfootball https://t.co/WbqgFBCKRu— Viðar Halldórsson (@VidarHalldrsson) August 29, 2018
RUS 3-0 KZH MDA 0-7 POR SWE 3-0 UKR DEN 1-1 CRO SCO 2-1 SUI So the Thursday update is: Group 2 will likely now come to tiebreaks unless SUI and SCO get different points in their last respective games. They're even on pts, GD, and GF, while SUI has 1 away goal to SCO's 0 away goals. In group 4, it's now winner-take-all for the last match between SWE and DEN; a draw favors SWE.
