Lombaerts is only 28 and he is far from "old and slow". Kompany and Vertonghen is one of the best CB pairings in the world. As for our lack of fullbacks, how do you know that some good backs won't emerge soon? We didn't have any good goalkeepers too three years ago.

Alderweireld will move to CB soon as Meunier & Vanden Borre are coming up at RB. Besides van Buyten all the other defenders still have at least 5 years in them. By then players like Bossaerts, Denayer, Engels should be ready. So no I dont think Arslaganic will ever make the Belgian squad. Besides he has been really poor for the u-21 team
