Well us and Real have been drawn together again in Group G, wonder who else we get as they have taken Sky Sports News off freeview in the UK. Edit:Ajax too as well
Group B should be pretty tight, Lyon, Benfica and Schalke are all fairly even. Group A has Inter, Bremen and Tottenham should be a good bout, Inter should top the group though.
Hm I don't like the look of our group, Us Real Ajax Auxerre but it's always good to get the season off on a pessimistic note, so let the emotional torture begin.
Pretty tough draw, couldn't imagine a harder one. I can't see us topping this group and therefore get owned in the round of sixteen if we manage to finish second.
Maybe it's because Milan struggled against Zurich last year and the only reason we advanced to the knockout stage was due to our win at Madrid. This year Real will be much harder to beat & Ajax is better than Zurich. Unless you feel Milan is better than they were last year, the odds of Milan advancing to the knockout stage this year are worse than last year.
i think we'll end up being second. milan played much better against madrid than zurich, so i think we underestimated zurich and marseille (which in CL is always a mistake). but with ajax's past glories, i don't think we'll take them too lightly and therefore win.
We didn't underestimate them. We simply weren't that good. It also didn't help that Leonardo's tactics didn't suit the personnel we had at the club. But if Ambrosini, Pirlo, & Rino are still playing in the CL for us we are going to continue to have problems with teams with fast counterattacks.
Good points. Although I feel Milan are a bit ahead of LY thus should beat Ajax or at least not lose to them as they did with Zurich and with other games we should collect more goals and points to advance, even if we are second.
I like Ajax, they have a quick team and a budding star in Suarez. But they also haven't been to Europe's top flight in 6 something years. Lets wait and see what Allegri does with this team first before making predictions.
Well, unless Real & Milan meet again in the knockout stage it won't happen this year. Kaká is out at least 4 months with a knee injury.
looking forward to both our legs. shame klaas jan won't be there, but there's hope another ex ajacied in zlatan will find "clarance" to feature against us.
Not sure if anyone realized this, but Seedorf has won the CL title with three of the four teams in our group.
I truly hope we top this group. I just cant stand Real act as the best in this group. I hope to finish 13 points and Madrid 11. All for the ego to be honest.
