I’m staying away from any England based media just for this reason. I remember that time Barcelona beat Chelsea in the second leg to go to the final (where Drogba went crazy at the end), the Skysports guys were all serious and offended about the reffing. It’s all they talked about. But after the first leg when a Barca player was dropped in the box with no call, they said in their post game show “we don’t wanna talk about that”, laughed and moved on. That and some of the British boxing fans I’ve had to deal with just tells me their media outlets feed them so much horseshit.
Perhaps, I dodged a bullet here... Record number of police will be deployed by for Champions League final on June 1 as Spanish authorities prepare to tackle invasion of over 50,000 Liverpool and Tottenham fans
Yeah. I'm not a fan of them obviously, but I'm prepared to give credits when these are due to be given. That's just a matter of respect and of civilised behaviour. Many were sure a Dutch club, in this world of billionairs owning clubs with budgets each to match the total of the Eredivisie clubs, wouldnot make a dent in the CL supremacy of the superclubs. So this Skuzzy shithead is just a pathetic little moron. Negative rep to you, stinking skunk.
I knew they were going to lose when they started to bunker, why change something that had worked against so many other big teams so far this year? Stupidity. Likely won’t watch the final, neither of these teams are good enough to win their own league though I would say Klopp deserves a title for consistently entertaining in this competition over the years
Yup, it has been about 54 years ago Totally Hotshits won a title and iirc L'pool did it 24 years or more ago the last time. I want Totally Hotshits destroyed so I'm kind of mad at Ajax to let them escape. However a true Feyenoord bred kid Gio Wijnaldum can make up for the ramsacking of Rotterdam and the Feyenoord stadium by the Hotshits hooligans exactly 45 years ago by blasting them to pieces. Go Gio, go...kill them.
Of course he is. Ajax going to lose a number of players in the midfield due to transfers and aging (Schöne) means a big chance of getting real first team play in a league that has the MO of if you're good enough you're old enough to play. See the age of de Ligt when he came into the first team. Lainez is missing out big. Unless he would be an unrecoverable mental wreck after the last minute loss.
I don't think @Skuzzy envies either team, there's nothing to envy. But I can see why he'd take pleasure in both going down in flames gloriously. I'm just playing Devil's advocate here, but it could be that both teams, along with their fans got cocky as fück even though they had yet to win a damn thing. They were brought back to Earth, and got served up not just a slice, but the whole humble pie.
Ikr. No mames. Lmao. I remember when Liverpool played Alaves‘ in the UEFA Cup in 2001. The final was in Dortmund. My German friends and I were so relieved when Liverpool won because...hooligans. We didn’t want to get caught in the crosshairs of any violence. The nonsense was insane back then. Btw, that was an awesome final @Kaney
Don't let that memory dictate what you do in the present day. I'm sure English football fan is not as uncouth as they used to be. lol
They lost their chance at playing in, and then winning a Champions League final way back when and didn't even know it. This will be worse than the Curse of the Bambino.
