I'd be interested to see if Astana and skenderbreu could make it to the group stages... although they get slaughtered . Hell even malmo. And lazio finishing third and being the lowest qualifying team to get at champions playing germanys fourth place team shows how serie a has sunk. Too many old guys and if you think liga MX is bad with retreads. .. check out serie a
Malmo made it to the group stages last year breh. Serie A hasn't been the same since the whole calciopoli thing happened. It left a bad stigma. Today's top young talent would rather go to the other 3 top leagues instead if Italy, that's no secret. The problem lies in the bad ownership and bad management of a lot teams. Just look at the Milans. Juve is the only team that has been smart in the transfer market, not overspending, and investing in young talent. It's not a coincidence that they have dominated the last 4 years. But I think the league will slowly come back up again, they've been trying to get the European coefficient up and that 4th CL spot back. If the Italians teams have a good year again in Europe they overtake EPL and gain that spot back.
Yes, and who's been to the champions league more ? Celtic or malmo ?that's why i listed them last. They would also need the British teams to stumble . With the coefficients being updated and Liverpool shitting the bed in both competitions and no british team making it to the quarter finals in any cup they sank waaaayyyy down.
Yeah Italian teams would basically just have to match how the EPL teams do this year to overtake them, which I don't think will happen this year. Though West Ham and Sampdoria already shit the bed this week against some no name teams, lyls.
That would be interesting to see. If you take away the earliest coefficient they're neck and neck... it'd be odd to see the epl sink from a strong second at an 82 coefficient to a 4th place Maybe at 60
