Grant Wahl's twitter feed had the following info but no link or source attribution.

So I went to the ussoccer site and found an announcement from Monday.

Per the announcement, both coaches will stay in their current gigs so the U17 & U20 jobs stay part time though USSF is paying both April & Ellis so that's a net increase in "coaching" salaries for the women's Uxx programs.

    A Q&A with Montoya

    A Q&A with Swanson

Interesting news, which based on the Q&A was made a while ago (Montoya has already been in charge of camps). Anyone have thoughts?

So essentially Jillian and buddies sit around and pontificate how to be a good team while these guys run all the stuff. So what's different than before? At least now they admit it.

I'd rather have them pontificate and have other people doing the hands on work.

The existence of technical director positions in general don't bother me and they're not that unusual in the grand scheme of things.

The specific choice of individuals that USSF made to fill these positions, is a whole nother issue.
