2nd matchday played today Group A Bahrain 0:0 Saudi Arabia Saudi Arabia progress to the semi's Group B Oman 2:1 Qatar Oman score last minute winner to keep the hopes alive of progressing
Final group games were played today Group A UAE 3:0 Bahrain UAE progress in 2n'd place, Saudi top the group. Bahrian go into 5/6th place playoff Group B Kuwait 1:3 Qatar From my understanding, head to head will now be used as all 3 teams finish on 3 points. Qatar therefore top the group, Kuwait come 2nd and Oman 3rd. Although, i could be proven wrong until official information comes through.
Official confirmation has come through showing that goal difference and not head to head is used for this tournament. Therefore, Qatar came top, Oman second and Kuwait 3rd. The semi-final lineup is as following: Saudi Arabia : Oman Qatar : UAE 5th place playoff Bahrain : Kuwait
UAE are the winners again, 3rd title Semi Finals Saudi Arabia 2:1 Oman Qatar 2:2 UAE (2-4 pens) 5th place playoff Bahrain 0:2 Kuwait 3/4 place Oman 2:2 Qatar (3-5 pens) Final Saudi Arabia 1:2 UAE
The 2011 edition is now with us: Group A: Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia Group B: Oman, UAE, Bahrain Match day 1 results: Qatar 1:0 Saudi Arabia Oman 3:0 Bahrain
It's obvious the UAE have one of the best youth systems in Asia right now. I think they'll win this Gulf Cup edition, once again.
3rd matchday results: Qatar 3:1 Kuwait Oman 0:0 UAE Qatar top group A, Saudi come second Oman top group B, UAE come seond Qatar to meet UAE and Oman to meet Saudi in the semi's. Tomorrow, Bahrain meet Kuwait in the 5th place matchup
2012 GCC Under-17 Football Championships has been drawn today. Group A: Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain Group B: UAE, Oman, Saudi Arabia To be played between September 22 to October 1 in Kuwait http://www.qfa.com.qa//qatar-drawn-in-group-a-of-gcc-under-19-event.aspx
Match day 3 Group A: Qatar 4:0 Bahrain Group B: Oman 0:0 Saudi Arabia Results mean that Qatar meet UAE and Kuwait play Saudi Arabia in the semi finals. Bahrain play Oman in the 5th placed match.
ASPIRE finally seems to be producing some results. Although I'm afraid we're not yet on par with Saudi Arabia's youth teams. Even last year, Qatar were completely outplayed in the final against Saudi Arabia though they went to penalties. I won't be surprised of a repeat especially taking into consideration Saudi's 5-0 thrashing of Kuwait.
Saudi Arabia the champions again, defeating Qatar 1:0 UAE came third beating Kuwait 1:0 aswell. There's now been 9 championships played and Saudi have been winners or runners up in each edition.
Changed to U16 event...held in Qatar this year http://www.qfa.com.qa/qatar-to-host-gcc-u-16-event-in-september.aspx
Think Qatar are wrong with the name of U16, it's still U17 event Group A: Kuwait, Oman, Qatar Group B: Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, UAE
