Home or abroad, we wear these colors with pride. 🇺🇸⚽️Your #USMNT starting XI to face 🇨🇦 in tonight’s @CNationsLeague match in Toronto. At least he's funny.
the day some scrub like Lovitz doesn't even start this F list competition is the day I actually start feeling a bit better about this shit sandwich. ******** off with this shit. dude is a scrub and not young enough to vastly improve. any minute he plays is a minute wasted that could have been spent working someone that actually matters long term in.
Well, our team are not world beaters, but looking at CAN projected lineup - who are those people? CAN is in 7th place in CONCACAF - really?
I'm done with lovitz, roldan, and Bradley (at least starting in his case). Would've liked to see what yeuill could do against better competition.
what you're not pumped about this grudge match at the highest levels of competition between two of global football's biggest heavyweights?
Lovitz, Bradley, Ream, Roldan... oh, man, we had to scrap bottom of the barrel to fill our starting lineup.
Passing the armband around like this results in it being devoid of any meaning. Happy to see Bradley starting. He’s the rock we can count on.
Yet another competitive game with no Trapp in the starting lineup. Berhalter does seem to have a bias for him but only for friendlies.
I’d rather see me than Lovitz. If we’re going to throw out some old, arthritic, and immobile player, it might as well be me.
i cant BELIEVE zardes isnt starting. cant believe it. thank the soccer gods. sitting our second best cb isnt awesome, but long is a strong 3 (and ream seems to be a freakishly great analogue of brooks while being about our 8th actual best cb in a vacuum). would like to see a little more courage/attacking intent and go with lletget over roldan, but we do have to factor in covering for bradley i suppose. but still- sarge over zardes. wow. so great, so relieved. if this can happen (and assuming sargent grabs it by the throat- which he really didnt friday) about 3 more times i can FINALLY retire that...not talking point since its been 100% accurate, but i (we) can finally move on from the ironclad hold on the striker spot zardes has held for no discernable reason.
Unfortunately they will fall to mighty Canada tonight. CAN have no skills, no tactics, zero soccer IQ, but they will compensate with running and thugging - and our team has no answers to that.
I mean I agree but the fact that that's the bar to clear -- Zardes not our striker in a real competition (no matter how low) is just ********ing disheartening shit man.
Yeah, I certainly have my disagreements with some of his personnel decisions, but Berhalter's not totally blind to evidence being presented to him. Trapp stunk in the friendlies prior to the GC and during it. Bradley legitimately outplayed him there, and Yueill has looked better than him this fall, so it makes sense that Trapp is falling down the depth chart. We can only hope that he's off it entirely once Adams is healthy.
