You seem to be correct. According to this article numerous teams domestically were interested in taking him on loan but the head coach said "I will need Boyd in the second half, he is good to keep it in the squad" so looks like he will be staying with Besiktas https://www.fotomac.com.tr/trabzons...er-boyd?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter

He did not play, as Besiktas conceded in the first minute and lost at home, losing the tie 6-4 on aggregate. They lost both leagues to the team that should be in 3rd in the second division. Big yikes for Besiktas. Heads are gonna roll there.
A bit like Man U, in other words. They're 7th; 10 points off first place although only 6 points (plus a large GD) off the second CL place and 4 points off 4th and the last EL place. Turkish league table is bizarre this season. Who the f#@%k heard of Sivasspor before, never mind at the top of the league? I'd say the only thing that's stopped heads rolling before now is that Galatasaray are just as bad as Besiktas this season (they're level on points) and Fenerbache are only marginally better.
Yes heads will role for this type of performance in the league. Turkish fans are diehard and from my experience living in Turkey, Besiktas fans can be quite vocal. Fortunately I was staying in Besiktas when they won the league.

Remember when everyone was worried Inter Miami was going to ruin Boyd’s European ascension? Good times.

Indeed I hope it isn't true, but I do worry that maybe his run with Ankara and his first match with the NATs was just a run of good form. Fingers crossed he can turn it around.

Interview: https://haber-son.net/tyler-boyd-besiktasta-kalip-katki-saglama-hayalimi-gerceklestirmek-istiyorum/ Answering questions asked regarding the transfers not mentioned in the break Boyd, "When I came to Turkey last year, my dream was to play in Besiktas. My dream of contributing to Beşiktaş continues. I had absolutely no intention of going in January. I wanted to stay here, I mentioned that. I want to stay here, show myself and prove it. I believe I can do that too. ”
