Plus, we now have players on the first team squads of 4 of the top 5 Bundesliga clubs at the moment. (Unfortunately I don't think Chris Richards is going to make it 5 out of 5 just yet).

I thought Adams played well. Had one bad give away on an errant through ball but immediately won the ball back with his drive and quickness. Anyone else see it differently?
I thought he was pretty non-descript. He played back mostly, rarely coming too far forward. He had a role in Union's goal, as he lost a challenge near midfield, and then his CB missed a tackle and then the goal. One or two plays where you saw the destroyer coming out but generally pretty chill.
He faded from about 70’ but before that he was pretty good. That was a terrible ball played to him on the Union goal. I thought he distributed cleanly, efficiently and progressively when he could. His signature stylistic play to me is his ability to play that 70 degree upfield ball while running towards his own goal without breaking stride. He’s a possession footballer.
I thought his passing was very good. He covers a lot of ground to intercept passes. He is a bit of a lightweight when it comes to physical should-to-shoulder challenges.
Best American player on the planet. Great to see him patrolling the middle again. And he wasn’t “non descript” he was RBL best player in the first half and should’ve had two assists if not for bad finishing. He stopped multiple counters and anticipated where to cover space in an elite way. any negative description of his game today would be not accurate.
I was surprised how lively and involved he was after the long layoff. I wouldn't say it was his best game ever, but much less rusty than I expected.
That can be your opinion! Entitled to it. but Adams is better at what he does than Pulisic is at what he does.
Best player. Pulisic is injured. Adams played on the best BL1 team. Default victory for 1.18.20 Pulisic has more ball skills, is faster and is expected to do a lot more. Adams is glue. He's an important cog on a team with talent everywhere. Glad we have them both. And McKennie. Those 3 are the future of American soccer at the core. Let's let Euro club money decide who's better. For now. Oh yeah, not that I'm a fan of Chelsea yet but they could sure use Timo and that stud defender on Leipzig.
