http://www.showbuzzdaily.com/articles/skedball-weekend-sports-tv-ratings-11-24-25-2018.html Chelsea-Spurs on NBC: 824k Not the best weekend for the Prem on NBC networks. The numbers this season seem a bit disappointing, particularly after a summer of PL stars shining at an entertaining World Cup.
Are you talking about the first leg before national teams played or coverage of the second leg when it was postponed?

It was like watching a car crash. I personally just flip the channel but others had to stay and watch the drama unfold.

Tottenham obviously trails other top clubs in popularity when Tottenham vs. Arsenal got fewer viewers than Fulham vs. Chelsea that was at 7:00 A.M. Eastern. Even if Chelsea is more popular than Arsenal, I would have expected Tottenham to be more popular than Fulham by a greater amount.
The only thing I can theorize is that the audience may have been fractured a bit because people were watching the Spurs - Arsenal match on Telemundo and various Temundo apps. Edit* The Chelsea match .was on Universo (which is in less homes than Telemundo and is not OTA), but it was on the Telemundo deportes app.

That's a pretty typical number for a 7:30am/4:30am kickoff. Plus, even though it was billed as Triple Derby Day, not sure a lot of Americans recognize that SW London derby as a big one or gave Fulham much of a chance. But mostly that early kickoff just doesn't draw a lot of viewers - just too early for west of the Mississippi live viewing.
Some good news for FOX and NBC https://www.sportsbusinessdaily.com/Journal/Issues/2018/12/10/Media/Sports-media.aspx
NBCSN used to run some quality pro football programming that I miss a lot, but outside of NHL nights, now it's all Nascar and auto sales. I can't believe that generates better numbers.
Live NASCAR moves the needle for NBCSN. So does live hockey. And the Premier League, particularly for non-primetime. Everything else is just filler, so they try to program as cheap as possible. One factor that was kind of cool (from our perspectives) in FS1 passing ESPN2 this year was the World Cup (partially) moving to the former from the latter.
I think the U is still in like 20 million more homes than FS2. Plus it's tied to some high profile conferences with half decent spillover content. SEC, Longhorn nets and streaming have cannibalized a bit, but it's still an ESPN network. FS2 has so few live events from sports and leagues with big followings.
