Not surprising when Turkey made 2002 WC semi's.

I'm sure back in the 90's that Turkey would have thought long and hard about moving to Asia because they were Europe's whipping boys. But in Europe nations do improve. The same could well happen for Armenia and Georgia.

Anyway, now that Euro 2016 will have 24 nations taking part, then Armenia and Gerogia have what they want. So why need to move?

Because they have no real intelligence of the game and geography in general.

If these nations got in, then slowly more underperforming Eastern European nations would be in with a shout aswell. Before we know it, Europe will be Asia.

90s were quite good for Turkey actually compared to the fruitless 60s and 70s. They qualified for the 1996 euros and barely missed the 1990 WC. Hardly whipping boys.

    Euro 2008 qualfiication

Armenia won over Poland 1 - 0 in armenia. Drew Serbia 0 - 0 in armenia, and portugal 1 - 1 in armenia as well. They also lost just 1 - 0 to portugal in portugal.

    World cup 2010 Qualification
Armenia lost to spain 2 - 1 in armenia. And won Belgium 2 - 1.

    World cup 2006 qualification
    Armenia lost 2 - 0 vs holland in amsterdam.And lost just 1 - 0 in armenia.

So the Armenian NT from time to time made good results vs big teams.Altho they are pot 5 team, those results are better then what other teams in Asia do during the world cup.

    Portugal 7 - 0 North korea
    Ivory coast 3 - 0 north korea
    germany 8 - 0 saudi arabia
    Ireland 3 - 0 Saudi Arabia
    ukraine 4 - 0 saudi arabia
    Brazil 4 - 0 China
    Turkey 3 - 0 China

    lol were you born yesterday?
Not a single Middle Eastern country recognizes Israel as a country and that's why they moved away from Asia in the first place.

pick and choose which results you want to mention, eh?
Armenia's last match they lost to Moldova 4-1 at home, before that 2-0 to Bosnia.
As for Asia , I am not saying they have been great but look at all the results for Asian teams, not just a few that strengthen your point.

Ok, late 80's then when they got whipped by England 8-0 all the time. You could class 92 aswell when they got beat 4-0. But you understand what I was getting at. late 80's early 90's only a matter of a couple of years.

Well they almost qualified for the 1990 WC but missed out on the last day. So they were definitely improving even in the late 80's. Either way, its only a few years here or there.

Yeah, but this is what I meant. 60's, 70's or whatever year. The point is that with Turkey staying in Europe they improved there game. The same could happen to other nations being mentioned on here.

I think Europe is where you need to be if you want to improve over the years. Asia is where these nations would want to be if they wanted to be fast tracked onto the World Stage...but then get seriously wounded.
