Media day is coming up this Thursday.... https://www.facebook.com/ttownsoccer?ref=ts&fref=ts "Love Soccer? Love Tulsa? Love Press Conferences about Soccer in Tulsa? Take a late lunch on Thursday and meet us in the McNellies Side Bar at 1:30pm for the official unveiling of the revival of soccer in Tulsa. The Tulsa-Athletics season starts now!" http://www.hark.com/grease/if-you-cant-be-an-athlete-be-an-athletic-supporter http://tulsaroughnecks.com/Tulsa_Athletics_NPSL.php Our fearless leader... posing with the 1983 Soccer Bowl Championship trophy... First off, wish you guys all the best. Want nothing more then to see soccer succeed, wherever it may be here in the US of 'Merica. I've been trying to figure something out with you guys though: why did you decide to go with a pink and black logo, and then green and yellow for everything else? The logo is good and has loads of potential, but I can't help but feel that if you guys were to go more of a Palermo esq pink, black, white and gold you'd really stand out, not just in the NPSL, but in American soccer and sports in general. Plus some gold and white on that logo would be sweet
The logo comes from the original club, Boston Avenue Athletics... I believe team colors on jerseys have always been green and yellow, ala Oakland A's... http://www.bostonavenueathleticclub.com/ This year's sponsor is McNellies Pub...

Some volunteers, student interns, various sponsors... since this is a ballpark and not a high school football stadium, we have more advertising options alongside the field or the outfield wall... stadium also has a handful of corporate suites... Six home games, six road games. Travel is to Dallas and Houston. http://www.tulsa-athletics.com/schedule-results/ I worry a bit about having consecutive games against the same team and how it would affect attendance. But tickets are cheap enough, that I think alot of people will do season tickets without a second thought.
Good, I hope it can work. As I said before, if soccer on the site is viable then hopefully, over the longer term, Drillers Stadium can be reworked and become a purpose-build stadium.
Oh... and of course, we have our own in-house punk hooligan rock band... let the chaos begin... Oi!!!
When the TOA split from USL-1 and decided to re-brand under the NASL name, they got trademarks on several of the old NASL nicknames, including "Roughnecks." http://tess2.uspto.gov/bin/gate.exe?f=doc&state=4003:9or1kz.4.6 I believe the old logo is public domain. I've seen some tees and sweatshirts with the old Tulsa Roughnecks logo...
