this is a good concise read on this problem. It's not new but at TAM increases we will see more of this. Because the Salary cap has exceptions there will always be steps in the salaries rather than an even bell curve. It is what it is, and I expect to see it in the future because it has been successful, but I do expect to see it tweaked at the next CBA.

Saw the renderings, and this is a great facility.

Cincinnati sounds reluctant to go forward with a soccer stadium, and sort of shove the MLS team in UC's football stadium. This Nashville Stadium should be what Cincy aims for: 30-35,000 seat SSS (they clearly have the fan base). In fact, they should consider as many as 40,000 seats. Nashville's proposal sets a new standard for stadium size in MLS.

I want Cincy to get a slot because they have a huge fan base that deserves to be rewarded. But Nippert can't cut it. Something more along the lines of this stadium, and as I said, perhaps larger is what they need. I see, easily, a third Seattle/Atlanta with Cincy.

You always build smaller than demand. Create a season ticket waiting list. Sellout the stadium regularly. Make it a tough ticket. You can always expand later (TFC, Portland). The last thing you want to do is average 30K fans a game and have a stadium that is 25% empty.

What are those towers in the lower right hand corner of the Benz stadium picture...cell towers, generic clean energy structures, modern art, bird houses?
