yeah good point, seeing as we don't quite have a CL caliber team we really need someone that has good EL experience or at the very least cares about EL and is able to do well on both fronts with what we currently have. Which in all honesty can do better than these scrappy 1-1, 1-0 results.

Besides Mancini, has anyone else been linked as Mazzarri's, in case he did leave, replacement?

Come back is on! Down a goal, saved the penalty and leveled the score. I know that we can win by the second half.

this ref was bad, so many bogus calls but the team showed a lot of heart and determination after the red card. Osvaldo scores the 2-1 and we managed to hold on. Great shift by him today, not only offensively but defensively as well.
Hand, Obi and dodo also had good performances.
Lets see more of the same vs Roma on sunday

feel bad for the people of Azerbijan, they had it in that last second only for it to be ruled offside. Saw part of the game and qarabag were the better team, obi was the only real bright spot with m'vila doing well as well. Here's to hoping we don't get a spanish team.

Well I am hoping that we would start getting more consistent results but I suppose this does take time. I wonder how the transfer window next month will be played.

We've been linked to god knows how many players from the EPL. 4-3-1-2 seems to be Mancini's preferred formation, we already have a ton of defenders, DMs, AMs and strikers. I guess a true box to box mid would be useful

As happy as I am about Dnipro qualifying for the knock-out stage, I have to admit, Garabagh's goal was good. Garabagh should have won the game 1-0 and it would have been enough for them to advance instead of Dnipro.

Yeah it was an own goal from one of our defenders, it was a shame seeing the whole stadium go crazy then quickly slapped with disappointment. Perhaps karma set in with who Dnipro got paired up with though, a very dangerous Olympiacos.
Good luck with Guingamp, they have been on a good streak and have troubled bigger teams.

As for us we drew Celtic, can't forget that performance vs Barcelona a season or 2 ago. If they field their A team against us we can expect a tough time. That being said they did not dominate a simple group.

And we're on to the next round thanks to a sweet goal by Guarin. I think that this Europa League season will get us back in champions league next season.
