Yeah, Montclair has some lower middle class areas. But people like Stephen Colbert & Michael Strahan live there and I recently saw an article about some billionaire building a 60,000 SF mansion in town. She's in her late 20s so I guess she's trying to speak for the generation that suffered in the 2008 recession.

I was in school in 2008, advice I got from a cousin was, "I graduated in a recession, too, but you will be fine long term." He was right it turns out. As for Miss Alter, I grew up in similar circumstances to her. I never thought I had it bad growing up. That said, I know too many people in my age group who complain about their financial straits. Yet they're the same people I know who live in trendy neighborhoods (also high cost of living) and go out every weekend. Anecdotal? Yes but it's telling.
People need to read Ms. Alter’s words more carefully. She’s talking about her generation, not herself. Alexa, show me pathological narcissism. Forgive me for being so ig-nint, but the whole thing about Sessions recusing himself was a legal matter, right? Not sure if there's a law about this and maybe he could have decided not to, but in any "normal" situation, it would have been a conflict of interest and he would have had to recuse himself. Even if it wasn't a "legal" issue, it certainly would have been an ethical issue. I was just about to say, "doesn't Trump understand that?" but of course we know the answer...
GOP congressman: Mr. President, please don't insult the dead guy who served the country honorably. MAGAhats: RINO!!!! We're going to primary you!!! 1108833193581514765 is not a valid tweet id Yeah, they are healthier, they live longer, and pay less, but ask them how they feel about their health insurance... And you were the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations? I am very surprised you tweeted this, especially since you did not provide any details or substantiation for your criticism.https://t.co/pV0qHVZH5b— Carrie Moley ☮️ (@carrie_moley) March 22, 2019 Infant mortality rate:• Finland: 2.5 of every 1,000 births• U.S.: 5.8 of every 1,000 birthsMaternal death rate:• Finland: 3 per 100,000 births• U.S.: 14 per 100,000 births👉🏻 https://t.co/AzL03OHc0j https://t.co/Y56X3oXW9T— Frank Luntz (@FrankLuntz) March 22, 2019
Getting asked a lot about Stephen Moore. Here's the TL;DR:Think Larry Kudlow, then subtract honestly, common sense and intellectual horsepower— Dow (@mark_dow) March 22, 2019
Consider that I'm a few years older than her, I do think there's a wage issue but the financial prosperity thing is vastly overstated. Then again, there's also a good chunk of Americans who aren't financially literate. And again, anecdotal but I know too many people who spend frivolously. Lady I know got herself a rather pricey tattoo and then complained about being broke. Right now, I also don't think people understand what prosperous really means, either.
I can't believe how many people I see in their 20s who wear Canada Goose jackets. If you have a Canada Goose jacket and you aren't 30 years old, you're either making it bigtime, you're spending $$$ needlessly, or you stole the damn thing. In the first two cases you shouldn't be complaining about money, and in the third, yeah I guess you could be struggling, but you're not on the moral high ground.
ome of our past Presidents (Ronnie, W) would appoint quacks to their Cabinet, but I don't remember them treating the Fed like that.
Something like TrumpCo associates led Donnie around by nose but he didn't get involved too deeply on purpose
It will show that Trump; is thoughtless, venal, and immoral, and breached a bunch of laws, at least technically. In other words, what both Democrats and Republicans already know.
Our daughter was born 2 months permaturely, spent 3 weeks in intensive care and my wife was hospitalised for two weeks. Cost something like couple of hundred euros...I feel sorry for all the not rich people in the US.— Ville Saarenketo (@VSaarenketo) March 21, 2019 My heart surgery in Finland cost 60€. When my son was born, I had to be in the hospital for three weeks. It didn´t cost me anything. Because of my high risk pregnancy, I was checked by a doctor once a week. For free.— Sari Europaeus (@Sarggu) March 21, 2019 😂 the system is great. If you get injured, you are treated in a world-class hospital. Cancer treatment results rank among the best in the world and won’t drive you bankruptcy. And by the way, I’m an MD PhD and paid 0€ for my university studies.
