Panama won 2-0. First time that Cuéllar doesn't coach this team and we get eliminated from World Cup contention. I blame not calling up more local league players, to be quite honest.
It's a mixture of the US college girls, some players from Europe, and eight players from Liga MX (none from Chivas, the current leader).
The LigaMx girls were the crappy ones. No Chivas girls. Not enough collegiate/US chicks, in my opinion.
I was wondering why CONCACAF don’t use the “Hexagon” format for the women’s W.C. qualifiers just like they use it for the men’s W.C. qualifiers? I mean I want to see these gringas/nadettes if they can handle playing at hostile environments in Central America and the high altitude at Estadio Azteca in Mexico. All the games I watched on TV (that are non-World Cup and non-Olympics) they always play at home. I’ve never seen them play on the road before.
Beyond the obvious fact that women's national teams make much less money than men's, a Hexagonal style format would necessitate a full year or more of qualifying. It would be fairer, but a lot of the federations involved wouldn't even have the means to budget travels every two months for home and away matches. Not to mention that, depending on the format, it might even eat into Olympic qualifier dates.
Meanwhile, at the u17 World Cup in Uruguay... #Sub17Fem | MEX vs BRA¡Primer triunfo en el Mundial! 😀 🇲🇽 🏆¡Excelente partido, niñas! 👏🏼 👏🏼 👏🏼#PasiónyOrgullo | #U17WWC pic.twitter.com/92lQ5sFPpa— Selección Nacional (@miseleccionmx) November 16, 2018 Current standings: Japan 4 points, +6 GD Mexico 4 points, +1 GD Brazil 1 point, -1 GD South Africa 1 point, -6 GD The result by itself is great, but considering they are going vs the favourites to win it all, it's gonna be difficult.

Our women's teams are actually good in the youth categories and this is super weird to me.
About to start in twenty minutes. By the way, this tournament has been weird. The United States finished dead last of their group, and both Japan and North Korea got eliminated yesterday in penalties. Who knows if there are any other surprises at bay.
Our goalkeeper made two excellent saves...one hockey style save in particular was spectacular...well done!
