I don't remember him injured too much in his career and never for 2 months. What always amazes me about the Over 35 superstars (I.E. DiNatale, Totti & Toni) is their uncanny ability to maintain their health and goal scoring talents. It makes you wonder though if this injury will have occurred when he was 28 as opposed to 38?
Luca Toni could make his comeback for Hellas #Verona against #Napoli on Sunday https://t.co/cEahwm41mC #SerieA pic.twitter.com/evv5ilgsSO— Football Italia (@footballitalia) November 18, 2015
He came in when they were down 0-1. Good to see him back. https://it.sports.yahoo.com/calcio/serie-a/verona-napoli-50374/
That is what happens when you are out 2 months injured at age 38...Can't say I blame him really..... Luca Toni announces intention to retire
I've been here for years - LL Cool Tone I realize some of you young guys might have to look that up.
I'm all for largo ai giovani but even though he will be turning 39 come May, I am wondering if there are clubs that will be offering him a contract come summer time? Maybe not in Italy but somewhere else in the world? If there are only a few players left who can manage to play at the age of almost 40, I would tend to think Luca Toni would be one of them.....
Not sure if he wants to leave Italy... Would be nice for him to come to Montreal and pair up with Drogba.
