My guess is 129/130 because I'm pretty sure I saw tickets being sold for the other end during the general presale.
"More than 20,000 tickets sold for USA-Turkey Send-Off game in Philly" Just by playing around on Ticketmaster, it looks like more. The lower bowl doesn't seem to have many seats left. This is a pretty good start with more than 2 months to go and little marketing. http://twitter.com/ussoccer
Met with our Bar tonight, we are ordering 110 tickets and sending two busloads from Baltimore. Details to follow later this week...
Still trying to get things ironed out with some friends, but I have a couple that definitely want to go. Any idea on how many AO tickets are left? Don't want to end up being too late and unable to buy any at all. BTW does the Ticketmaster site not work for anyone else? When I go to the game page to buy tickets there's a tab named 'Box Office' but nothing loads underneath it. It's just a big blank page under the match details and the 'Box Office' tab.
To put it in perspective, when that report was released, tickets had only been on sale to the public for a week.
I've got my four tickets. My girlfriend, two friends, and myself will be making the trip down. Corey, your couch was very comfortable last time but this year we got a great deal at the Downtown Marriott. $139 for two nights. I reccomend it for anyone who doesn't have their hotels set. I'm looking forward to an AO Bar Party the night before. Then wake up as early possible Saturday to see some sights. Then down the Broad St Local to the Linc for another bad ass tailgate (last year's for the Gold Cup game was awesome.) Saturday night back out in Philly then we're spending Sunday and Monday in Sea Girt, NJ on the shore with my girlfriend's family and hitting up the Parker House. Pretty much the best weekend ever. My poor neglected job between this and the game in Hartford.
I did the 3.5 stars, airport section, and named $70 a night. They took the offer and bumped me up to a four star. Renaissance Philadelphia Hotel Airport. I bet you could go a little lower then that even.
Yeah I know, I don't mind staying by the airport though. We usually don't stay in the city very long when we go to these games, kind of a in and out deal.
Just wanted to make sure you were aware...we are working on planning a Huge night before and pregame AO Party
There is currently a deal for the Sheraton Philadelphia City Center through their "Better Tomorrows - Stay One Night and the Next is 50% Off" deal, where the total cost for 2 nights (checking in Friday, checking out Sunday) is $178.95. Go here to book: http://www.starwoodhotels.com/shera...en_US&IM=SOP_TITLE_BETTERTOMORROWS_SI_1776_PA Music to my ears
BTW how do I get into the tailgate? Is there just a charge to get in at the 'door' or do I need to buy separate tickets in advance? If the price is built into the AO section tickets then that would be great. But I suspect that's not the case, is it?
After playing around on ticketmaster for a while the only lower deck seats (2) I could find were the $33 row 25 in the corner. There were no $25 seats left in the lower deck, best was 10 rows up in the middle deck. The best $45 tickets were row 6 in the upper deck. Looking pretty good with almost 3 months to go.
