i'd take Nike's word for it...they sponsor both NT teams.


this will no doubt be held at the new medowlands stadium. Hopefully we have a nice cup run the month prior and all the rival supporter's groups and area fans from NE all the way down to DC will unite under the same banner.

Oh great the stadium will be filled. All those New Yorkers who want to be seen will be there. We will all get to read on BigSoccer how New Yorkers love soccer. Makes me want to vomit.

New York does not support our Men's Team nor our domestic league. Go back to supporting baseball, posers.

I was at the Bon Jovi concert the other night,......sorry not impressed at all with the stadium. I still say what a waste of money and definetly not soccer friendly,.... but make your own conclusion.

I was thinking how I was going to fill the void of no US soccer after getting back from the World Cup. This is a gift from heaven indeed. Will someone call my boss and tell her I'm just going to take the entire summer off. Thanks.

But they did finally get a train stop there for the new stadium.
I rode the train to Gold Cup final last year. Much better than messing w/ north jersey traffic mess.
Of course I was about the only US fan on the train, but that's not big news considering it was a US v Mexico game.

Also I'm not sure how many of our starters would play in an Aug 10th match vs Brazil. Since our starting 11 will only have 1 month of rest since their last game by that time, and a lot of that taken up by parades and public appearances.

This is awesome! I'll be there no doubt about it and I cant wait. Theres no better way for the US to start a new cycle.

The train should have been built 30 years ago. You didn't need to build a new stadium to build a rail spur.

I heard this game is already sold-out.......its the same exact crowd as the US-Mexico game for the Gold Cup Final...only this time..i heard there was mass purchasing of Yellow Jerseys in the last few days....77,000 worth

Ha thanks he had me worried for a second. How much do you guys thinks ticket prices will vary from? How many weeks before the Friendlies does US Soccer make tickets available to purchase

 

Im from NJ and am trying to get a chapter started here...

Would some fans be more willing to stay in North/Central NJ and take the train in to save some money?

Morristown, NJ area is really nice with a lot of great bars

 

Any idea when tickets go on sale?

Late June to middle of July most likely.

 

Anyone else have serious doubts that the first teams will be there? The EPL will be starting up that time, and will be close to opening matches for Serie A and La Liga.

However, even the second string teams would be fun to watch.
