The Belgian league is not better than the Danish league according to UEFA (based on the past 5 years Europa Cup results) :

I was writing this in the Peruvians Abroad forum, but I guess it also belong here :

I noticed an article that is also sending Antonio Gonzales and the young talents Andy Polo and Edison Flores to AGF Aarhus as well... this is not unlikely, because AGF usually sign 2-3 foreign players from the same country at the same time, because they believe it makes it easier for the players to adapt this way, especially younger players who are far away from their home country... so AGF also have 3 young Georgian players at the moment and some young Icelandic players as well... it also tell me, that AGF Aarhus now especially is going to focus on Peru in the future, just as they do with Georgia.

Well, if the club management are desperate for money because they are not able to pay wages and transfer fees, then it is better to sell, than getting in further trouble...

If AGF Aarhus are signing Ruidiaz, then I'm sure they will be picking up at least one more Peruvian player at the same time, because this is how they normally do when they sign foreigners.

One thing is showing interest, another thing is actually making a bid... there are often big clubs from England and other clubs from other big leagues taking notice and also having young AGF Aarhus player on trial, but either they are not making an actually bid or they just want to buy young players fairly cheaply in large qantities but dont give them a proper chance...

If you are a shop keeper, would you rather invite an unkonwn turist with real money on their pocket to your shop, or a celebrety that just want to browse but not buy anything in your shop ?.. or if they do buy, they will juste put it on a shelfe and forget about it ?....

Danish clubs are 100% trustworthy when they are making a bid, so you always get the money they promise and they always give the player a very good chance to develop and prove their worth at top-flight level, while the top clubs of Europe often buy lots of young talents from all over the world, but dont give them much chance of playing more than reserve league games.

Winning the league this season ?... no ... FC København and OB Odense are the two big favorites to fight for the two Champions League spots (the winner of the Danish Superliga this season, goes directly to the Champion League group stage, while the 2nd placed team is playing CL qualifiers) ... 3rd and 4th placed teams + the Danish Cup winner are playing Europa League qualifiers... so that is 5 out of 12 Superliga teams playing Europa Cup.... ther is also the possibility of one more Danish Europa League spot through the UEFA fair-play competition (Danish teams have qualified 3 times in the past 4 years) and in this competition AGF Aarhus is leading the Danish fair-play table so far this season... So the chances of playing Europa League seem pretty good.

Btw.... the Danish transfer window close on 1 September and not on 31 August like most of the rest of Europe, so Danish clubs have an extra 24 hours to sign players... so AGF Aarhus are not in too much of a hurry just yet.

Only a few days before the transfer stories about Ruidiaz were popping up, the AGF Aarhus head coach Peter Sørensen said on TV that he was expecting one or two actual reinforcements before the transfer window is closed... then a few days ago the AGF director of Sport Brian Steen Nielsen told Danish newspapers that he probably had finished signing players in this transfer window and that it was more likely that AGF would be getting Ruidiaz in the winter transfer window, rather that acting now... Yesterday the AGF coach was back on TV saying that he still expect one or two real reinforcements before the transfer window is closed and to the question about why the director of sport do not seem to share his opinion, he just smiled and said that we should not take that too seriously... in today's news Brian Steen is now saying that something could happen fast at the end of the transfer window, though still not promising anything.

Last night, "pichichus" Osores said today was the deadline the danish club gave la "U" to accept the offer. La "U" wants 800,000 while the danish want him for 400,000.

If we can trust depor.pe, then the deal is done.... the final transfer fee is $500,000 + a 40% sell-on cause... :
    http://depor.pe/futbol-peruano/8026...-raul-ruidiaz-cerraria-hoy-trato-aarhus-danes

I think that seem fair, since apparently (if I understand this correctly) Ruidiaz has a clause in his contact so he can leave Universitario for free in the winter, so it's either money in the pocket now or non in the winter..

AGF Aarhus first bid was $400,000 + a 20% sell-on clause, so now you get twice as much money if he become a success and is later sold to a bigger club... and AGF Aarhus is one of the teams in Denmark who are good at selling players to the top leagues of Europe.... mainly to Germany and England, but also to Italy, France and Spain.

Fuk it, sell him now and bring Cholito Avila on next season. I still say $500k is nothing but whatever.

To our Danish friend: how much does Aarhus usually spend signing players? Denmark isn't a big-money league but I still gotta think that $500k is a pretty small figure.
