Figured since we are now to the summer I would start the new transfer thread. Any news on the ins/outs so far? Has anyone at VfB made comments about how much turnover they expect with the promotion?
Thanks for starting the thread @gmonsoon43! I've been out of the loop, on a camping trip, without much connectivity. I look forward to the research once I am back home.
I'm surprised by this one. Teams were out to sign him. Glad we came up with the money. Now we'll have to see if Terodde can do it in the BL. EDIT: Gladbach was reportedly close to signing him.
From Kicker, Marvin Wanitzek, a 23 y.o. attacking central midfielder, is transferring to Karlsruher SC http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/...tikel_bis-2020_ksc-holt-wanitzek-vom-vfb.html I also from Kicker, backup GK Benjamin Uphoff is also transferring to Karlsruher SC. http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/...meister-bleibt-uphoff-und-hofmann-kommen.html
Any word on Julian Green? Obviously American Stuttgart fans have more interest than the other Stuttgart fans. Seems like after being only a bench player in the B.2 he would need a loan of transfer to get playing time.
I can't find anything current on him, but I believe his contract runs through 2019. Yeah, if he can't get time with VfB (Hannes Wolf is not afraid to play young players, if they're capable), he'll need to go out on loan/transfer somewhere. Hopefully, he'll develop a little more 'steel' (on both offense, and defense) in his play, and win back a starting spot on left wing.
I just discovered that Takuma Asano WILL be with VfB next year: http://www.90min.de/de/posts/515658...ielt-ein-weiteres-jahr-fuer-den-vfb-stuttgart
VfB is seeking Felix Passlack on loan from BVB, if this is to be trusted: https://www.transfermarkt.de/passla...er-ein-bisschen-gross-ldquo-/view/news/276727 If VfB could pull this off, it would be a good move, IMHO.
From the Stuttgarter Nachrichten, Wolf is also interested in Andy Najar (ex-DC United) of RSC Anderlecht, but doesn't want to speak much because of negotiations. If Najar is healthy, he would be a quality pick-up on the right wing. http://www.stuttgarter-nachrichten....est.b9669854-b5a0-4c56-b42c-6cb27974f881.html
Maxim has moved on. Glad he was able to pull it together at the end. One more hole in our lineup to fill.
Just rumors at this point, but several things MAY be going down shortly, per the Stuttgarter Nachrichten: VfB Stuttgart has increased interest in Gabriel Barbosa, the 20-year-old offensive player in the service of Inter Milan. He can be played in the offense both centrally and on the wing positions. It appears the young Brazilian is not getting as much time playing as he would like. If he's not able to start, or at least be one of the first subs off the bench, will he be any good for VfB? Jean Zimmer is open to either a loan, or a sale. As reported by the " Rheinpfalz," Fortuna Düsseldorf are the frontrunners for his services. According to Orel Mangala (himself just recently acquired by VfB), Anastasios Donis will be the next newcomer. Donis, who was born in the Blackburn, England, will cost VfB about three million euros, and additional bonuses and bonuses can increase this amount. This is roughly the sum which the VfB acquired by selling Maxim. Donis can be used variably in the offense and subject to a sporting examination, the transfer is now to be carried out quickly. Donis may already be present at the training session next Monday (6 pm). http://www.stuttgarter-nachrichten....ker.a2dde6ea-66a4-4179-a86e-0a7f5eb9ccb0.html
http://www.vfb.de/en/vfb/latest/news/professionals/2017/verpflichtung-anastasios-donis/ Looks to be a really good signing.
Also looks like 23 y.o. Jan Kliment is trialing in Bröndby with former coach Alexander Zorniger. http://www.stuttgarter-nachrichten....ker.a2dde6ea-66a4-4179-a86e-0a7f5eb9ccb0.html
It looks like Antonio Rüdiger will be transferring to Chelski from AS Roma for €38 Million. Subtracting the 8M that VfB received from Roma on the original transfer, VfB would receive 10% of 30M, or €3 M from the sell-on. Hopefully, that will go towards purchasing some additional talent for the team.
Wow! Ladies and gentlemen, don't touch that dial! From the Stuttgarter Nachrichten: http://www.stuttgarter-nachrichten....ung.c546cd68-034a-451b-91fc-a071c3eabb03.html
They got him! http://www.vfb.de/en/vfb/latest/news/professionals/2017/chadrac-akolo-verpflichtung-/ It will be interesting to see how VfB do this year, and also kinda scary, too! They've loaded up on young, talented attackers, but haven't really done much to improve the BL2 quality defense. Are they going to try to win games 6-5?
The Ruediger to Chelsea deal went through for 34 million pounds: https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...sign-antonio-rudiger-roma-transfer-34-million Anyone have an idea on what Stuttgart gets as a sell on fee?
