Is it too early to start this thread? Of course not! This is BigSoccer, after all; it's never too early to start slinging fanciful and barely-substantiated rumors... From football365's Transfer Gossip page: A NOTHING PLAYER FOR EVERTON The People also claims that Everton want to sign Stewart Downing. Rather ridiculously, it says that 'David Moyes wants the England winger to add a new dimension to his team for the second half of the season.' Err, what dimension could a no-tricks pony add to any side?
Wow, this thread has taken a turn I hadn't expected... One good result and the hormones are positively raging!
yeah apparently I'm the only guy on here all I can think about is giving Rachel Unitt a new contract on the ladies team...
hey now... let's not think that way... one thing i really do love about our players seems to be their continued dedication to the club. there seems to be a genuine pleasure and pride for them to play in our blue... I haven't studied many teams but ours really really seems to have a genuine family atmosphere between the players and management etc. it's healthy and positive and nice to see as a fan. i just really hope that this latest article is also true, as the past articles have (so far) proven to be.
ugh there it is again... the headline for that article "Cahill sweet on Toffees" doesn't that pun EVER get old??
Daily Mail says Everton are interested in Wayne Hennessy, the Welsh international goalkeeper: Oh dear... SSN reports that Yeovil are trialing Scott Spencer, with a view on a permanent transfer. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11671_2929596,00.html
Chelsea boss Avram Grant is considering a shock move for Everton striker Yakubu. (Sunday Express) Everton and Bolton are ready to revive their interest in Barcelona striker Santiago Ezquerro. (News of the World)
any chance of an everton want to keep tommy g until he retires rumour? we could add that celtic were delighted to hear this and wish everton and tommy (and his £30k/week salary) all the best.
Don't think so heh. We need someone younger, I think Grav was always going to be a stopgap solution. Vogel would also be a stopgap solution as well for Carsley. Yakubu's transfer is also a non-issue, cuz 1) Chelsea need a striker during the ACN...Yak doesn't fit and 2) Yak has already played for Everton and Middlesborough this season, and, unless you're Liverpool, you can't play a person who has already played for 2 other teams in a season.
That and selling your leading scorer months after buying him for a club record fee is a bit ... off-putting to one's employers. Nothing short of Israel's GDP makes this happen.
